“Nice countryside brewpub/restaurant located not far from the Fujikyu Highland amusement park. Fujizakura is quite famous for brewing some of the very best German-based beers in Japan, definitely worth a try. Their food menu is sort of an upscale family restaurant, with bit of a focus on beer pairing. They also have a little souvenir shop near the entrance where you can pick up their bottled beers. They also have a nice garden terrace in the back where you can enjoy beers even with your dog :)“

“Brewery restaurant, situated up in the woods, on the slopes of Mt.Fuji. Nice garden with outdoor seating (which for some strange reason closes after 3 or so?). I do like this place. Been here about 10 times so far. Great people and good beer, though usually just the main 4 (pils, weisen, rauch and a seasonal, usually a bock), they are very drinkable. Weissen and rauch are perhaps their most solid performers. Prices for beer here are about half of what you’d pay in Tokyo. Italian themed restaurant with reasonable food, if overpriced somewhat. Get here early afternoon and sit outside with a beer.“

“As much as I like their beer I must say I was mildly disappointed with this place. I think maybe I was expecting too much, but I thought they might have something a little rare, or just something else besides their main four, on tap but they only had the Pils, Rauch, Weizen, and Marzen. All good beers but all pretty easy to find elsewhere. Still, the food was good (I echo TimE’s recommendation of the risotto) and the porch is a great place to drink the beer- though I wish we could have gotten draught beer out there after 3pm.“

“OK place, but best view is from the back of the parking lot. No real special reason to go here, but if you are in the area, then it would be a good stop to try some amazing beers. Food was good and OK priced. Risotto is a must. Note - they close the patio at like 3pm, but you can buy beer to take out and drink there if you want. “

“Good food, though not cheap. Nice forest/garden atmosphere, though the garden needed some upkeep. Beer selection is limited to the three regulars and whatever seasonal might be available. When I was there, no seasonals were on tap. The beer is fresh and delicious, though, and that of course is the main reason to go. Priced reasonably too. Take the free bus from Kawaguchi-ko train stationit’s about the only way to get there!“
