“About 10 of the taps were on when we went. It seems to be focusing more on the restaurant crowd than the beer crowd, or at least that’s how it looked on a Sunday afternoon, when several families, most from the naval base, where in for dinner. BBQ is awesome, that’s for sure. Beer is heavily weighted towards Baird, plus a couple other Japanese crafts and a couple US imports. Prices for the Baird regular lineup at good a ¥900 / 500 ml. Others are a bit higher. Great food, good beer.“

“Chill restaurant and bar, a few steps away from Nawlins in Yokosuka, which is like another world within Japan. First floor is standing with also a camp site-like place to chill out. 2nd floor is tables for eating. Mostly Japanese food focused on fish looked good. 8 taps included 5 of their own. Beer is decent for them only being brewing for 3 months. Still needs some refinement, but all 4 that we tried were pretty well made. Prices are cheap: ¥500 for about 300ml and ¥680 for an American pint. Slightly more for guest beers. Definitely a good place to hang out and drink fresh beers.“

“Come for the food with some decent beer. Once the taps become a bit more eclectic this is gonna be ballin. Great food, sparse but cozy atmosphere and attentive, friendly staff. Heavily Baird beer related. The Catfish is amazing!“

“Two story venue with seating I heard for up to 100. The first floor has a bar counter, and a few tables, but upstairs has ton of seats. Has capacity for up to 25 beers on tap, but since it just opened a month ago, its not fully bustling yet and taps were limited to about 12-15 mainly Japanese brews, but a bit too heavy Baird (though I know once more taps flow, overall taps wont be so heavy towards Baird). Excellent house beer made by Baird that we tried up against some other smoked beers and it was the clear winner. The food was top top notch. I will say hands down the best American BBQ you will find in Japan with some great Cajun food. If you like BBQ or Cajun it is worth the trek from Tokyo. The spacious seating upstairs is great and makes it awesome for parties. Very friendly staff. The beer I had was good, but the food is what really stood out. Once more taps get going I think this place will be one of the best in Tokyo/Yokohama area. At this point though, not worth a trek from Tokyo just to drink beer.“

“Very laid back place. This is a place to come with a very small group of people to chill out. Nice older guy behind the bar. This is not a beer bar per se, but certainly if you live on the Yokosuka base this is the best place around to drink beer. About six Anchors, including magnums of the Christmas beer, and five Red Hooks. I will definitely hang out here when visiting Yokosuka, but cant recommend making a special trip here.“

“Glad someone got off there ass and entered this place. While there is nothing here that will blow your doors off they do have a solid selection of anchor (Liberty, Steam, Porter, and Foghorn) with our Special Ale making holiday appearances. Saranac seems to be working into the line up and a rotating cast of Brooklyn, Sam Adams, and Red Hook bottles. No food to speak of but it is worth mentioning they do a great cup of coffee here too. Live Jazz about once to twice a week and every now and then in the winter, random pickup Jam sessions with the locals. Interior is bigger then most Japanese bars, dimly lit without being too dark with enough room for a small stage area for live music, normally it is pretty quiet and the regulars are friendly and will talk your ear off after a few. Very homey and comfortable. Should you find yourself in Yokosuka, this is certainly the place to check out.“

“My local hangout and pretty much the only place in Yokosuka to get a good beer. Bottles only, no taps. Seems to always have the Anchor lineup and has started to regularly offer a few Saranac brews. Tonight they had Samuel Smith’s and Red Hook, as well. Also had this years Our Special Ale from Anchor. Not a huge selection but solid. Also offers Guiness and a few other macros. Tends to be quiet and I’ve been known to take a book to read while enjoying a brew. Friendly bartender seems to know a good beer. I hear they have jam sessions from time to time where you can bring your guitar and join in. Also has live bands fairly often. Blue in Green also sells (yes, sells) vintage guitars. If you aren’t in a beer mood they have a nice lineup of bourbon and whiskey.“
