“Pleasant pub on the outskirts of Cannock. Although primarily an eating pub they have four of five handpumps, most of whom were operating when I visited. i was impressed by the pleasant temperature all the beers were served at not too warm as is the traditional British way. All the beers were from Thwaites-no guests.“

“Micropub in Cannock town centre just up a side street by the Wetherspoons. Easily the best place in Cannock. Ten casks, four craft keg beers usually containing a Beavertown and Purity beer. Plus a small selection of craft cans in the fridge from Beavertown for the most part. Great easy going atmosphere. They had just had a Fixed Wheel meet the brewer after my visit so the selection was less varied in regards to brewers. However on other visits it had had a wide selection. Great place.“

“Black country ales pub just on the edge of the town centre. Six cask ales in total. Three in house casks and three guests from microbreweries across the country. Atmosphere is rough and ready, lots of locals. OK place.“

“5 minute walk from work. Cask selection has the usual spoons beers plus a small changing range of Staffordshire breweries for example Lymestone and Titanic. Not much in way of new ticks for me, but maybe a couple for visitors to the area.“

“Top of the town centre JDW on two levels in an old looking building with some timber beams and crooked floors inside. Cosy interior with the usual JDW selection, prices, beer festivals and family friendly (bar is downstairs with additional seating upstairs so provides a good area if visiting with kids)“

“Typical town centre Wetherspoons, bar area is divided into several seating areas. The usual Wetherspoons food menu and a fairly unexciting range of cask ales. Top end of the town centre.“

“It looks like an ordinary pub from the outside, and there are a few of them in the area so it doesn’t immediately stand out, but inside the pub has an attractive brickwork and slate style. There’s a couple of entrances so depending on what side you enter it may feel busy or empty. Out front there is a small patio area but if there are smokers there you may have to join them passively as there is little room for maneuver. Ale choice not an issue here.“
