“Golf course clubhouse. Silvermere was the name of the stately home that was demolished to make way for the gold course. The lake the bar is on is where the estate got its name from and I can imagine it's very popular in the summer. In fact I know it it because my wife's sat by the lake and even saw some people from Bargain Hunt. Wowser. On a cold and misty Sunday the bar was realty busy. We were interrogated about out booking because they'd had people sitting at reserved tables. There wad a queue at the bar to order. The thing is, not really sure why it was busy. Food was pretty nice but pricey. Beer options were limited and boring (Shepherd Neame kegs and Landlord and T.E.A. on cask). But it's not exactly posh - more like a Harvester. Anyway, it's close to home so will probably back cos the Mrs and in-laws like it, whereas there a load of pubs around here I still have never visited.“

“The website made this place look like it could be interesting and it was proven correct. An independant wine shop that also advertises itself as stocking, "real craft beer and artisan spirits." I guess that sums it up. A smallish shop with wine down both walls. The middle has island with two tiers. On the right side of the island there are the beers, ciders and meads. No local beers, unlike other shops around here. Rather you have a range of London breweries (Beavertown, Orbit, Mondo, amongst others), Belgian, US, Japanese, German amd Australian breweries. I spotted ciders from NZ and Spain. The thing is they've obviously been careful about their selection, ie a couple of Beavertown Tempus bottles and various Barrel Aged offerings - I picked up one from Portugal. They also stock Ice Cider, but at £36 I didn't bother. Staff asked if I needed help and then left me to browse. Four beers came to £23, but that did include a Beavertown Tempus bottle that's not on Ratebeer yet and an Orbit BA Stout that's currently unrated. Will be back as they have some beers you don't see elsewhere, at least arond this area.“

“Pub in a large golf complex, all the beers came from Shepherd Neame. The food was good value for the money.“
