“Visited May 2021, when we were only allowed to sit outside due to Covid. Set in a gorgeous location next to the Kennet and Avon Canal, with a large, attractive and partially-covered terrace alongside the canal. With such a location it clearly doesn't have to try hard. The prices are (very) high, the food average and the service variable (one member of staff was friendly and enthusiastic and working her socks off, whilst two others were completely disinterested in customers. On the plus side it does have local ales and ciders on rotation (Kettlesmith and Iford when we were there) plus unusually a St Austell stout rather than the usual Guinness. Overall, despite the lovely location I didn't feel it was worth the high prices, and I doubt I'd return.“

“We (me and Loz) visited here 30 November 2017. It is located reasonably central in the lovely little unspoilt town of Bradford on Avon, along Silver Street. It's a creamy off white coloured frontage with a multi panelled window.

It's a small shop but has a good selection of wines and a modest selection of beers. The beers are on the left hand wall and whilst there are a few craft offerings, this place does focus heavily on local producers and so anyone visiting will almost certainly pick up at least half a dozen new rates without any trouble. I picked up beers from the likes of Downton and Kettlesmith. It's a nice little shop, prices were good and I would certainly pop in again.“
