| 78 /100 Carters Rest (Bar) HIGH STREET, “Visited on 29/1/2011. Excellent local pub just south of Swindon, with 12 cask ales available. The regulars are Plain Ales ‘Innocence’, ‘Crop Circle’ from Hop Back, Sharps ‘’Doombar’ and Cotswold Spring’s ‘Old English Rose’. Guest ales are from far and wide and included Dawkins, Adnams and Ramsbury all served in good condition. Atmosphere was friendly with efficient staff. Has a bit of a Chelsea FC theme going on without going OTT. Swindon and North Wilts CAMRA pub of the year 2009 & 2010 - it is easy to see why and I shall be returning soon.“ |
