54 /100 Sauer Keller (Restaurant) BAIERSDORFERSTRASSE 1 Small, shady Bierkeller on a slope on the edge of Roettenbach. Just one Sauer-Bier is available there. Quite a nice place for a short break, especially, when the brewery-tap is closed. Recommended. |
64 /100 HAUPTSTRASSE 45 Food orientated beer ok |
60 /100 HAUPTSTRASSE 45 Everything you come to expect from Frankonian beer - great taste & perfect quality. |
70 /100 HAUPTSTRASSE 45 Sauer Röttenbach and Brauerei Blauer Löwe in Hoechstadt an der Aisch now apparently brew in tahe Blauer Löwe facility, while Sauer exists as a restaurant (run by a polite young couple) and sells their beer out of their brewery building. The restaurant offers a rich and toasty Export Hell from tap. The bottled Pilsner was respectable while the two bottled Bockbier both smelled like ketchup. |
72 /100 HAUPTSTRASSE 45 Charming place in summer. The boss himself served the beer on Sunday and had time for a chat.
Not only Franconian food, they also serve pizza and that stuff.
