72 /100 775 SOUTH CAPITAL AVE Nice little place off by itself. Hot day in June, everyone outside. We had a nice table on the deck. More tables spread around. Nice lady serving. Small selection of their beers on tap, but they were nice. Enjoyable place. |
52 /100 The Celt (Bar) 398 W BROADWAY ST After visiting Yellowstone, we spent night in Idaho Falls and had dinner in The Celt. Nice looking place. Less than half full for a early dinner on a Saturday. As we were waiting a while for our drink order to be taken our eventual server 'Kyle' Put in drink order for another table and then stood at bar 6 feet from us showing other server pictures on his cell phone for over 5 minutes before bartender had time to pour the 2 beers he was waiting for and he brought to other table... THEN he took our drink order. Then rest went ok. When I'm thirsty I don't like waiting unnecessarily. |
72 /100 Tap-N-Fill (Bar) 1494 MILLIGAN RD Nice place located on the river, a few blocks south of downtown. 42 taps with a big long bar with plenty of seating. A patio on the river side, unfortunately next to the road. Good prices. |
74 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. Small wine and beer shop, similar distribution to Boise, with a few Montana beers available. Small tap list too. PIcked up a few, but selection was not too extensive. |
68 /100 Tap-N-Fill (Bar) 1494 MILLIGAN RD Located in a retail/commercial area along the river, clean, modern place with a long bar and free popcorn. Lots of taps, only one local. Crowlers an option, as well as taster for $1.50. Worth a visit for the odd tick |
84 /100 775 SOUTH CAPITAL AVE Great place, friendly owner. Opened early for us on a Monday, as we had called ahead and were on a tight schedule. Brewery is hidden away in a light industrial area, but the taproom is clean, open and tidy. Very comfortable, 12 beers on tap. Highly recommend this place. |
74 /100 455 RIVER PKWY Day 2 of E Idaho brewery trip. Great location overlooking the falls. Plenty of parking. Selection was light, but nade up for it with a great atmosphere. Cool place. Open brewing area. |
76 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Update: They relocated around the corner from the old location. A much smaller space. Less focus on the wine. No coolers of beer anymore, only what's on draft. They have a cool loft with couches that was a nice place to relax. A nice bar. More of a wine shop, but they had about 8 taps of local beers. A cooler filled with beers to go or drink there. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they carry. I’ll be back. |
78 /100 775 SOUTH CAPITAL AVE The beers aren’t spectacular but the people and the place are nice. Prices are very nice. Nothing bad, just no home runs either. |
80 /100 455 RIVER PKWY I’ve been here before... must have been 8-9 years ago when it was Brownstone. Building is the same, interior is similar I think. Hits the mark for the traditional brewpub with open seating and a view of the tanks. Some modern features too. Menu looked great, the food I had was quite good pub fare. Sampler tray was eight 5oz pours for $9. Beers ranged from OK to the 2-year old Old Mojoe which was great. Service was prompt and attentive. For the beer scene in IF this is a must stop. |
80 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE I enjoyed visiting this place. I found a couple of hard-to-find Firestone Walker whales and had a few tasters, gratis. Definitely worth visiting if you are in Idaho Falls. |
82 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. This is a beer and wine shop that also has a few beers available on draft. The selection of Idaho and other regional beers was very good. Very friendly staff rounded out a memorable experience. |
84 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Very nice place to visit when at this town. Friendly staff and great ambiance. NIce prices and good north USA beers. |
70 /100 The Celt (Bar) 398 W BROADWAY ST Cool little Irish pub. I’ve been here a few times. Good tap list of mostly local and regional beers. Good food. Fast and friendly service. |
78 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. Nice little shop. 9 taps of mostly local beers. Good selection of bottles to drink onsite or to go. |
52 /100 Albertson’s - Idaho Falls (Grocery Store) 590 E 17TH ST Small selection of local beers. They do have a cooler with some bombers but no 12oz singles. Good prices |
78 /100 775 SOUTH CAPITAL AVE Less than a mile down the snake from the falls in an industrial area. Not much from the outside but cosy inside with friendly service. 4 oz tasters are a buck each. Good beer. No food. |
76 /100 455 RIVER PKWY Large but attractive place with a curvy bar with views of the kitchen and brew tanks. Located close to the Snake River across from Idaho Falls downtown. Eight taps, but only six available when I stopped in. Quite decent beers and food. |
70 /100 455 RIVER PKWY Stopped in here for dinner and beers, on the way to Yellowstone. 2-story brewpub right on the Snake River; nice view from the windows. Brewing equipment visible in the restaurant; maybe 8 beers on tap. Server was unfriendly when she saw our kids, but warmed up with some good manners from the munchkins. All of the beers we tasted were quite good, and the food was outstanding. |
74 /100 455 RIVER PKWY Stopped in on the drive to Yellowstone with the family. Pretty nice place right on the Snake River, with a view of Idaho falls from the picture windows. Brewing equipment in plain view as well, which is a plus in my book. Kind of a cool menu for a brewpub, with a Japanese sushi menu and an eclectic collection of other items. Food was pretty good, and service was great. Beer, unfortunately, was hit and miss, but not too bad. Definitely worth a stop on the road. |
68 /100 455 RIVER PKWY A nice big floorplan with the brewery sitting on the back half of the brewpub. A small loft with some seating. Good service and food. The beer was good. |
82 /100 775 SOUTH CAPITAL AVE A great little place. Seating inside and out. Friendly service from the owner (Leon) and the bartender. 12 beers on tap, I had 6 this trip and all were solid beers. Great prices. I only wish this was closer. I’ll definitely be back. |
54 /100 Albertson’s - Idaho Falls (Grocery Store) 590 E 17TH ST A few 6 packs of nice locals, but no singles. Not even bombers. Still a good place to pick up a sixer or two as you held into the wilderness. |
78 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Really cool place. Lots of wine, about 10 taps, loads of bottles to buy and drink in the coolers. Good service, gave out plenty of samples. Very big with space to hangout. Cool place. Fair prices. |
64 /100 The Celt (Bar) 398 W BROADWAY ST Nicely renovated bar in downtown. Typical American take on a British pub, with a good selection of the industrial Irish and English beers you find at all of them: Boddington’s, Guinness, Smithwick’s, etc. Five or six of the taps have some nice regional selections. Food menu was shorter than expected and I didn’t partake, but the selections looked interesting. Servers didn’t know their beer from lemonade, but the place had just opened for business the day before and everyone was friendly. |
66 /100 Albertson’s - Idaho Falls (Grocery Store) 590 E 17TH ST A grocery store that stocks quite a few microbrews... not unusual in the west but this is my go to place for a quick six pack of something good. |
64 /100 455 RIVER PKWY Been here several times, but just recently after they received their brewing equipment and got up and running with it. Modern and quaint at the same time, with an open floor plan that’s inviting to all types including bar patrons, dining families and tourists. The four home team brews are all above average. There’s a couple of other rotating regionals on tap as well. Decent selection of typical pub grub that has been average the four times I’ve eaten there. Service is pretty lackluster, but both the food and beer are priced right and a good value. |
80 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. Cozy shop with lots of bottles and a handful of local and regional drafts. Tables upstairs and down. Worth a stop. |
76 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Nice vibe, especially with live music playing. This is essentially a wine store slash wine bar, but they have a solid selection of local and regional beers on tap, plus a handful of bottles. |
80 /100 455 RIVER PKWY My first stop on my Idaho-Montana-Wyoming beer expedition, and I caught them just before closing time. Still had time for a three beer sampler, nicely priced at four bucks. They were out of one of their regular beers. Beers are all brewed in house, now that the brewing equipment, located right in the restaurant, is up and running. They had a handful of beers from other regional brewers, and a couple of Belgians, a nice touch for a brewpub. Also Bud Lite. The food looked good, but the kitchen had just closed when I arrived, so I’ll have to come back for that. A good start to the trip! |
80 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Nice bottle shop/bar. One TV (thankfully on mute) and lots of locals for good conversation. Nice selection of regional micros with about 8 taps and 100 plus bottles. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere and nice service, even if she didn’t know much about the beer. More of a wine shop, but a nice place to hangout and enjoy a few beers and local flavor. |
80 /100 775 SOUTH CAPITAL AVE Small, relaxed bar at the brewery with a nice outside patio setup. No food, but you can order food from elsewhere or bring your own. 12 taps with a wide variety from Hefeweissen, black lager, IPA to Barley wine. Quality brews; I had 6 and all were above average. Good service and fair pricing. |
82 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. Laid back bottle shop and bar with 6-8 nice regional selections on tap and a few imports as well. Maybe 150 bottles, with most being good regional selections, and the typical European imports. Friendly and knowledgeable service. Good prices on bottles, so-so on drafts. . |
70 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Nice little wine and beer bar downtown, good selection in the cooler and a few good ones on tap. They have just changed hands, and the new owner seems the most knowlegable of all of the staff. Great atmosphere. Had a nice cheese plate and a couple of beers, partner had wine that she enjoyed. |
80 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. Our first stop in Idaho Falls. This place was a score. They still have some Abyss and some 07 Old Boardhead sweet. A good selection of beer and a few taps on in the back of the place. I will hit this place up again 4sure. |
70 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE We hit up the only two beer stores in Idaho Falls. This place was mostly wine and a couple coolers with beer. A so so selection. The aroma of roasted garlic and oliv oil was very nice. We didn’t pick up any thing here though. |
70 /100 775 SOUTH CAPITAL AVE south side of town in an industrial area. small pre-fab house turned into a tap room that seems like it could be my grandmother’s living room. but the best news, and one of the highlights of my trip, was their german-style lagers! maibock, schwarzbier, dunkler bock (in the tanks) and germen hefeweizen. the brewer has commendable taste and demonstrates a high level of skill. this may be the best brewery in idaho at the moment. |
80 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. a comfortable, inviting and friendly local bar / bottle shop with a selection of drafts unavailable elsewhere in idaho. wine and beer to-go sold on opposite sides of the narrow interior with a small bar area in back and a comfortable loft overhead. competent employees were able to answer nearly all questions regarding their featured taps and talked about beer in a friendly and respectful and confident manner, with no pretension or snobbery. rock solid understanding of what they’re offering the public and doing for the industry. I wish I had a this bar in my home town. |
70 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE similar to marcellar’s around the corner, but with a larger interior, more of a wine / cheese shop vibe, and less interesting drafts and bottles. but the staff was friendly and directed me to idaho brewing company down the street, which I can’t thank them for enough. |
80 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Nice little bottle shop. I like to stop when I’m in town visiting my parents. A little more friendly than MarCellars. |
72 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. Nice little bottle shop. I like to stop when I’m in town visiting my parents. My dad likes to get his beers here. |
76 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. I must have been by this place half a dozen times before it ocurred to stop in and check their selection... Wow, way more than I expected. They had nine brews on tap and 75-100 different bottled offerings. HOTD in IF? You’re kidding right? No, they had Fred From the Wood (pricey at $9.99, but still). Looked like a fair quantity of Belgian & imports too. Some glassware available for sale. The staffperson I spoke with was very helpful and seemingly both knowledgeable and passionate about craft beer. Not that you couldn’t get the majority of this in Boise, but a must stop for SE Idaho if thats where you’re at. |
82 /100 Black Rock (Bar) 343 PARK AVENUE Big store with a good selection and very competitive prices. Don’t let the wine slant fool you. Service was great and they ship out of state too!! |
86 /100 MarCellars (Beer Store) 431 PARK AVE. A tad pricey compared to their competition right around the corner but the staff knows their stuff and they had a slightly better selection of hard to find stuff. |
