72 /100 89 QUEENS PARADE, This appears to be a fairly traditional pub, with about three rooms for seating. The beers were mainly their own. Present staff and reasonable prices serving beer in Pots, Scooters, and Pints. |
64 /100 89 QUEENS PARADE, An old skool Irish Brewpub with a modern twist. Lots of brick and wood. Great bands. Eight or nine taps of average quality beers. Friendly staff. Tasting paddles available. Not the best beer in Melbourne but well worth a short detour to come here. |
66 /100 89 QUEENS PARADE, An old-school suburban pub renovated with an on-site brewing facility. Only a handful of their own brews available when we visited but all were decent. The food menu looked good but we didn't try. Fairly busy on the Sunday arvo we were there, service fine and an overall reasonable vibe. |
70 /100 89 QUEENS PARADE, Old corner hotel that has been transformed into a brew pub. Visited on a Thursday at lunchtime and the place was almost empty. Friendly staff who seemed to know what they were talking about when it came to the beers. Tasting paddle is good value and the food was okay - typical pub food. Beers were not too bad and they had some heavy hitters on tap alcohol wise. |
62 /100 89 QUEENS PARADE, Cool place a bit off the beaten path. 9 house beers on tap when I went. All were clean but painfully bland and uninspired. Staff were extremely friendly and the head brewer even gave us a sample of a beer that wasn’t yet put on. You can order a paddle of 4 for $10. Can’t really recommend due to the bland beer, but they are trying and seem to be improving based on what we learned of the place. |
64 /100 89 QUEENS PARADE, Visited on 10th April 2016. Brewpub next to a tram stop so easy to get to but it is a trek from the CBD. Pub seemed nice enough although it is enormous. A mixed beer range with several home brewed beers plus a good range of guests. Tasting flights available for all beers. Staff were friendly, prices not too bad. Decent enough place. |
52 /100 89 QUEENS PARADE, The old Clifton Hill hotel has been transformed into a newly fitted out brewpub and restaurant. We visited on a rainy weekday afternoon and the place was dead. Cold and sterile environment with tacky bright yellow trimmed tables and chairs that looks hastily thrown together. Off to the side is the dining room and views of the brewhouse. On our visit there was four house beers pouring - Kolsch, Pilsner, Pale Ale and Dark Ale. Issues with three of the beers were noticeable and other than the Kolsch I couldn’t finish the rest. At least there are a number of guest taps to help quench the thirst if needed. We didn’t linger for long though due to how uncomfortable this place feels. I wouldn’t have a reason to come back. |
