“Balter is located in the industrial area of Currumbin Waters at the southern end of Queensland’s Gold Coast, making it a bit difficult to get to without a car. The small car park out front belies what is beyond – an adequately sized tap room, bar and micro-brewery while outside there is a small, narrow beer garden. Inside the industrial-feel premises, exposed brickwork and brewery vessels are softened by a floor to ceiling tropical themed artwork, along with the simple ‘smiley face’ logo. There are 12 taps along the bar directly in front of the brew-house serving their core and limited release range. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about their product and engage patrons about their preferred style. Tasters/flights are available. Take-away (squealers/growlers) of all the tap range is available plus tinnies (cans) of the core range and some limited releases are available. Prices are craft beer scene standard. Not to be missed if in the area.“
