“Sick beer bar in Devonport if you ever make it out this way. Nice all-Australian, some Tassie taps. Bottle selection is solid AF, lots of Aussie stuff, some American and other. Chill place, was playing 90s/early 00s music which as an older millennial is my style. Prices typical.“

“Visited on August 4, 2013.
There’s not much in Devonport, as least not what I could find. However, I stayed one night at Molly Malone’s in a 4 bunk bed room. The cab driver from the ferry to the place told me it was the best food in town, so figured I’d eat there after checking in.
Had a porter house steak medium rare with chips and a pepper sauce. It was nice, boarderline very nice.
Only drank a Boags Draught, the selection here really wasn’t much to cheer over.
Hostel/hotel, bar, restaurant, gaming place, they got it all here, well part from a great beer selection. Had some free WiFi available as well. Order and pay food by a counter, they bring the food out to you. Get your beer from the bar.
Didn’t actually count the taps or the bottles here, guessing some. Thought at least I could add the one place in Devonport where you can get food and beer that I know of.
If you opt to stay the night as I did, a cover for the bed is not included, it will cost you $5 for renting one if you don’t bring a sleeping bag. Rooms are not heated, was fun with the 7 degree C winter night I spent.
Did find one more pub that was supposed to be open in town (Stewart St?), and that had a more interesting beer selection, but they had closed the service for the night for some reason when I visited, called "Central" something or such?“
