80 /100 9526 WEST OGDEN AVE New and improved old haunt for me. Same footprint, but a brighter space, no more pool tables & games, but large brewery area, nice frontal patio, and still that "right at home" feeling at the bar. Long visit with friend & owner Chris, enjoyed some snacks, along with a nice complement of tasty, house beers. For me, will be easier to get to than the Willow Springs site. Still be aware of parking restrictions to the east. |
82 /100 Leo’s Self Service Liquors (Beer Store) 9154 BROADWAY AVE. Haven’t been to this store in years so when I happened to be driving by and saw all the craft beer swag about the building I decided to stop in. Big fan of the the walk in cave (cooler) full of craft. Managed to find 3 sixes that I hadn’t seen elsewhere, always a nice surprise. |
90 /100 Leo’s Self Service Liquors (Beer Store) 9154 BROADWAY AVE. Largest Selection of Craft Beers Cold in Brookfield area. |
74 /100 Leo’s Self Service Liquors (Beer Store) 9154 BROADWAY AVE. Updated my review to give higher scores - the craft beer selection has gone up dramatically in 2012-2013. I used to consider Archer Liquors my best shot at finding Zombie Dust (my favorite), but Leo’s has turned into a great source for it. Old review: Stopped in for the first time today, have read some local reviiews on Yelp. Pretty decent selection, quite a few imports. The type of place that I’d stop at if I was in the area just to see if they have anything interesting, or if I knew I wanted to pick up something "standard" (e.g., Bell’s Two Hearted), since it’s 5 minutes from where I live. Best selection I’ve found so far of places within 10 minutes of my apartment. |
