“2015 - I’m in the area pretty regularly but I guess I have overlooked this place thinking it was a wine store. I stopped in today mostly out of laziness and they happened to have just what I was looking for plus a few beers I had not seen and picked up. The beer steward that was manning the section led me directly to what I was looking for based on a vague description. Good service and selection. Update 8/22/18 I stop in regularly they always have what I need hopslam in season, clencher year round, mercenary, and the black can revolution 11% stuff when it's out.“

“Very nice beer selection in the back. It looks small at first, but explore a bit and you’ll find some very high quality craft beers in a few coolers and bombers and bottle packs in a couple of places on the shelves. Prices are in line for the area. Maybe a $1 or so higher than big volume places like Binny’s, but much more personable and nice service if you have questions.“

“Second UPDATE - 2014-07-16: The selection is quite extensive now - largest in the local area by far. Lots more bombers and also a "make your own 6-pack" section. Still not as extensive as a big Binny’s, but damn respectable. Lots of choices for local area brews here - more than I’ve seen anywhere other than at Binny’s. UPDATED my selection rating because the selection has expanded a lot over the past couple of years. Solid craft beer store. This store is geared toward wine, but has a pretty decent beer selection. Not as varied as you can find at a larger Binny’s, but much better than what you find at a smaller Binny’s. Light on bombers and individual bottles, but a very, very good selection of imports and US craft beers. Prices seem to be a $1 or $2 higher than other places, but it’s close to me, so I visit regularly for old standbys and for an occasional something new to try. They’re not really beer savvy in my experience, but I depend on ratebeer for recommendations and to check ratings when out shopping, so not an issue for me.“

“This was a random stop today on a trip down I-55. The store looked as if it was an old grocery store in a former life, with lots of space and high warehouse ceilings. I was greeted by the lone visible employee upon entering, though no one was on the floor. Beer was in the back, far away from any sunlight, under a row of hanging beer signs and mirrors. The store was clean and well lit, with homey touches like wood trim and wooden handles on the cooler doors. Noticed a Goose Island rack first, with gems like 09 Juliet and Sofie. Another rack next to it had Belgians singles, a couple Cantillon 375s and other obscurities like Noire Dottinges and Erpe Mere. Spotted some obscure UK ales here from Cotleigh, and noted the generally deep selection here. Craft was spread out across a few shelving areas, noticed staples from FFF (5 including Dreadnaught & Behemoth), Founders (5), Two Bros, Dark Horse, and others. Craft & Imports were well represented in the coolers. Not a bad stop in an area where there isn’t much immediately nearby... Binnys is in Willowbrook, and Angel’s in La Grange, but if you’re in Countryside, Mainstreet is the place to go. “

“Used to live 10 minutes from place. great for wine. Good beer selection of beer. Does not carry beer from a lot of breweries but the one it does it carries the full line. Can find DFH, 3FF, Anchor, Flying Dog and many others. Had some singles in small cooler back of store but mostly imports.“

“Very nice, if quirky, beer selection. They’re completists on several micros, like Capital and Goose Island, and have a good overall US craft brew selection. Selection of imports is rather small, but quite good nonetheless. Certainly worth the stop if you’re out that way.“

“This is a wine store with a big back room for beer. There are lots of regional micros and many imports to chose from. Mostly six packs. Not much in the way of 750 Belgiums or 22 oz. micros. You won’t see that "beer I’ve been looking for", but a good selection for an out of towner.“

“This place makes me wish that I was the more than occasional wine drinker. Fantastic selection. But once you work your way to the back of the store, you’ll find a very impressive beer selection. You won’t uncover any "big" beer find, but you will find a solid selection from around the world and the U.S. They rotate the crop often enough so that I can usually pick up a few new things to try each time.“

“A very clean store with a focus on wines (including weekly wine tastings), but if you make your way allllllll the way to the back, you’ll be pleased to find a selection of 300+ beers... I’d say more than half in coolers. Average pricing and a rotating selection with some real gems amongst the usual suspects.“
