“Visited early January 2019. Big place kind of in the middle of nowhere. I was there late on a Saturday afternoon and it was hoppin with lots of locals - mostly rednecks and such. Big open concept place, lots of wood, not so metal and industrial like so many new breweries these days. I had prompt and friendly service, but didn't ask any beer questions. They even checked on me a couple of times as I enjoyed my flight. The beer is entirely forgettable, at least what I had was. Neat enough place, would stop by for ticks if passing by, but not going to be a destination brewery anytime soon. Pleasant experience, mediocre beer.“

“Post Great Taste brewery mini-tour stop #2. 8/11/15 Made it in time just before they closed to try most of the beers. The brewery is very new and pretty big. The taproom was spacious and had a cool patio outside with some new hop bines swaying in the breeze. The crowd was decidedly young and inebriated on a Sunday afternoon, singing along to music. There was a large portrait painting of a cow on one wall that had some cool abstract touches of color. Behind the bar is a view into the cavernous brew house, which the bartender generously offered a quick tour of. A good variety of beers, almost a dozen in all. The standouts were the oaked Irish ale and cherry/blueberry Berliner Weisse. A good variety including milds, APA, DIPA, Maibock, Porter, and a Berliner. Nothing too experimental besides the pretzel Amber, but the quality was good. They did have 3 barrels aging in the brewery, one was a Barleywine and the other was a rye Saison. Seemed a little pricey, 9 samples and a half growler was $35. I didn’t get an itemized receipt to check, but the 5 oz. samples were $2 and the growler was $11 or so. I was just glad that they were accommodating and stayed open until we all left. Overall worth a stop if in the Rockford area or heading out to Galena. Seemed to be the best thing going on in Freeport, aka Pretzel City.“

“Decent liquor store. Nice little selection of crafts. By and large the best craft stop in Freeport. Last time I was there I found a GI Juliet, which is simply no where else in town. I also grabbed some Stone, Lagunitas, Left Hand and some GI Christmas from 2009. Not to mention, totally stoked that I got the last BCS this year! They also have an awesome Mix-A-Six selection for $8. Check it out if you roll through town.“

“Just a liquor store, but it is attached to a pub. This store in the back corner has a good selections of different beers, you can also buy by the bottle of most craft/imported beers.“
