“ For the area, this was a real surprise. Not much else in the area, and the real bonus was that the selection was made up of 300 singles and a few 750s. This establishment meets many needs, as far as incorporating a deli and gourmet goods like morel cheese from WI, amish jelly, homemade pickles, jerky, etc. Full racks of ribs were very tempting, and the smoky bbq aroma carried outside before we even walked in. The place was family owned and had a friendly, homey vibe. Pros: Great craft and import selection, deli, singles, good service, 10% discount on 6 or more beers. Cons: High prices on imports, craft singles, not much craft/imports in the coolers. Selection was pretty extensive, and organized loosely by style. Gems were Founders Double Trouble, Imp Stout, Backwoods, Hardys, Vitus, Mikkeller, Black Albert, a Finnish juniper beer I never heard of, Cuvee Rene, and others. Didn’t see any dust, and dates seemed to be current. A staff person handed us an empty bottle carrier to hold beers. Prices were high on some things, which discouraged certain purchases. Mahrs Hell and Vitus for $6.29 was steep, more than in Chicago even. Overall 7 beers were $18. I’d return again when in the area, especially to stock up on specialty foods as well as great beers“

“This little shop in Godfrey I had always ignored (famous for great meats and homemade foods), but I had no idea they has quite the beer selection!! Wow, I bought several well-renowned Belgiums and some awesome American IPAs. Got some great recommendations from the wonderful staff. All beers were fresh and delicious!! Wonderful place, and will be back now, especially now that I know about their beers!!“

“This store has some 300 beers in stock all individually priced for mix and match buying. Most of their offerings were micros with a handful of macros. There was not a lot in this store that can not be found at Corral in Granite City but their selection is impressive. I was told they have beer tastings and I was more than happy to add my email address to their list for announcements. The store is owned and run by a super nice couple. Their prices seemed a bit high but I will definitely shop there again.“
