“I love the ever changing variety at the Tap House. With 40 beers on tap there is always something new to try, or if you would like they have your old standbys too. I cannot say that I enjoy the food as much as the beer though. While it is not bad, it’s just not what I prefer most times.“

“2011: Major improvement in tap selection. Check it out here: http://www.beermenus.com/cities/chicago/bars/tap-house-grill-oswego March 25, 2010: This is a chain bar/grill in the old Emmetts space, right near the Fox River. The attraction is 40 taps, but for a beer geek there wasn’t much to get excited about. This is the only halfway decent bar in the area however. The majority of these taps don’t rotate save for a few basic seasonals from Leinie’s, New Belgium and Sam Adams. Notable on tap were Franziskaner, Delirium, Hennepin, Goose Matilda, 2 Bros. Bitter End, Bells Amber. About 5 Leinie’s, 3-4 Miller, plenty of filler on the lines. Bottled beers were all macro. An upcoming Goose Island beer dinner featured Sofie and others for $45. Atmosphere in the bar was pretty average, lots of games and neons all around. Near the front door there were Goose and 2 Bros. posters. Seemed to be a locals place, and not much of a destination. A seating area off to the side had a fireplace, where some families were having lunch. The bar girls seemed to be hired mainly for their good looks, but service was timely, and the beer list listed abv & style, so that was nice. Overall this place left a bit to be desired, but it’s an option if you’re local or looking to entertain the family.“
