“Stopped in during a recent cross-country trip. Big open space with dark but well lit decor. Very good service. The beers were ok; I had two lagers. Food was good and served hot. I liked their beer glasses and got two to take with me. They did a nice job wrapping them up and putting them inside two plastic containers and they survived the trip! Easy off-on I-90 for those traveling, worth stopping in.“

“Stopped here for drinks on the way to a business dinner at Coopers Hawk. Hung out for about 1 1/2 hours...the group of about 12 of us tried several of their house beers. The consensus seemed to be average at best. However, they did have 16 oz cans of Daisy Cutter from Half Acre that saved the day (most guest beers are in bottles or cans...only about 4 drafts are guest beers)...what a fantastic pale ale...a must try if you never have. The décor here is nice...and several of our group had eaten here and liked it for casual corporate bar food and such. Fun place for a group...but not a serious craft beer stop (unless you get lucky with the guest beers like I did).“

“Urban chain bar vibe but nicer than most in that category. 7 house beers on. Flights of 6 for $8.95. Beers aren’t very good. Several guest taps and bottles but nothing too out of the ordinary. Didn’t eat. Free lot parking.“

“Think any commercial brewpub like Rock Bottom or RAM and you have Lucky Monk. All the house beers have an icon beside them on the menu, there are 6 of them and they are all average. The food is typical pub fare priced $2-6 more than it should be for what you get, not bad but made for people who think Wendy’s is a step up from McDonald’s. It also is a place that no matter when you drive by the parking lot is always full and when you go in you wonder where all the people are. Made for those seeking average.“

“Stopped in late in the evening after being thoroughly let down by Millrose just across the street. Very large but very cool place. The fire pits outside were the most inviting. They had eight house beers and you can order a flight. The service was a bit slow getting the sampler out but was friendly enough. Also, despite it being late on a weeknight the place was pretty busy. Not a bad place to hang out really, at least outside. The beers are alright, nothing amazing but not bad. The three best beers they had were probably my least favorite styles: American pale wheat / garbage ale, porter, and amber. Didn’t eat and prices on drinks were reasonable. Maybe I’ll stop in again next time I go to Great Taste.“

“Visited here this past weekend, cool place with a nice vibe to it. We sat at the bar, it was mid-day on a Saturday and the place was pretty empty. The sampler was decent, nothing really stood out of their stuff. The guest beers they had on tap were nice, with about 30 bottles to choose from as well. Like other people said, a little pricey though. We had a pizza and it was pretty darn good, the bartender knew quite about about their beers and was very pleasant. I would recommend this place.“

“Got a flight of their 6 house taps for 8.95 and tried their seasonal. All mid level type beers. The pizza was pretty good, nice chunks of spicy sausage. Prices are decent on the to go beer as well.“

“I really like this place and have been going since it opened. It’s really busy on the weekends now so I would avoid it. Food is good, some dishes are excellent including the pizza. Burgers are decent. Beer selection is average, doesn’t change much but I love the Cardinal Sin and the Triteca. Very good stuff. Wouldn’t recommend a growler from here though, just never lasts and is flat right away. Worth trying....“

“House brews are okay but not great. The ambiance is nice and classy the staff is very friendly. My glass was not empty for long. The food was very good. The beer selection was decent, the pricing was a touch high. Easy access to I-90.“

“Microbrewery that has an awesome Oatmeal Stout worth trying there and getting some for home!“

“We stopped in for "brunch" early on a Sunday. The decor was typical upscale suburban with lots of TVs. (not a good thing in my opinion) We sat at the bar so we could be closer to the beer. The bartender, Lauren, was attentive and helpful. There weren’t many people at the time, but she took good care of us throughout the day even as the lunch crowd came in. The Lucky Monk has six house beers on tap and another half dozen others. They also have a nice selection of unusual beers in bottles. The only macro brew that I saw was Miller Lite and it was in a bottle only. Good thing they didn’t waste a tap on it. The prices on the beer were on the high side, but that was not surprising for the area. They did have a sampler of the six beers for $8. The bartender was also willing to give away small tastes if you asked. The beer was served VERY cold, but at least the glass was not chilled. I just let each pour warm up to my preferred temperature. The food is nothing special. I have tried the pizza and the burgers. Overall, I had a good time with the Monk. The beers were good, but not exceptional. The atmosphere was a little sterile, but still enjoyable. Many of the people we talked to at the bar were either coming or going to the nearby AMC theater. I will probably be coming back to The Lucky Monk in the future.“
