“Came here to check out the Balmaha brewery and, of course, nothing from them on tap :/ That said, they had 4 handpumps with 3 available at the time - Loch Lomond, Jaw and Fallen. Food looked interesting. It’s a pretty decent place for the location. Update - Brewery no longer exists.“

“A lovely Inn to take shelter in on the bonny east bank of Loch Lomond. Good solid pub grub with a special mention of the gravy - a whole cow must’ve been reduced down to make it that thick. Friendly service and prices not too bad considering it probably has the option to be a tourist trap. On keg there was only their lager with one of their bottles in the fridge. Their adjoining shop also has this beer as well as a good range from others such as Fallen, Jaw Brew and Loch Lomond. Worth a visit. But visit the shop for a bigger selection.“

“Visited on Friday 19th Feb 2016. Got the 309 bus from outside Balloch station to the car park over the road from the pub. (Bus runs every 90 mins so yet get a decent time here). 4 handpulls on, all Scottish micros. Tried 3 of them and all were good. None from the local brewery I could see, bought a couple bottles of Kilt Walk though. Conich 4 lager on tap is brewed on site, I did try this after asking if had any of own beer on. Since been confirmed this is the case so do try it. The venue is a large single room, real wood fire gave that lovely warm, smoky feel. Plenty of tables, popular with tourists. Seating outside but with a Scottish winter in full swing this was not practical. Food was excellent. Service was friendly too. A bit of an effort to get there but worth the effort.“

“This is a real traditional pub in a small loch-side village, right on the West Highland Way. The bar is very busy, lots of people dining plus there is a full restaurant to the back. The beer range is pretty good for rural Scotland mostly concentrating on Scottish Micro’s. There is no problem for drinkers using tables in the bar even though they do lay the tables for diners. Really well worth a visit.“
