| 80 /100 BALLYGRANT “The only place on Islay to get a broad range of craft beer. The local brewery seems to be missing but a big range of US craft as well as Scandinavian and Belgian offerings. This is the supporting act to the main event however, which is the whisky range - more than 600 bottles and nearly all you can see are from the 8 Islay distilleries. It would appear that they pick up every new release that each of these 8 come out with. Is this the biggest Islay whisky selection anywhere? The food offering is from toasted sandwich to seafood platter and Islay lamb. Service is relaxed but attentive enough to feel comfortable. A must if visiting Islay, particularly if you’re not getting your usual share of quality beer here!“ |
