“Great location just off of main street in Main Street Landing. Decent selection of beers in children's or on the shelves warm. Reasonable prices for the area. Mostly local beers. Unfortunately, they don't sell singles, 4/6 packs only. I asked, but they won't break them down.“

“Pizza place. Long bar. Plenty of seating inside or outside. Close to 40 taps of mostly Blaze Brewing beers, a few good guest beers and a few BMC's. Good, fast service. Beer was average. Didn't try the food but the pizza smelled good.“

“Nice little brewery located in the middle of Bar Harbor. Good selection of beers with some flights available. Beer-to-go in cans is also available. Nice little cool place to stop for a drink while in Bar Harbor.“

“Right off Main Street. Didn’t try the food. We stopped in while bar hopping. We stopped in late so food wasn’t being served. I like this brewery’s beer. So this was a win for me.“

“Solid place located outside of Barb Habor. Good selection of their beers with some tasters available. Shop with all of their canned offering and some merch on one side and brewery/BBQ joint on the other side. Grear food with good service. Worth a detour. Plenty of parking and fair prices.“

“Tap & Barrel is located on the Village Green sandwiched between two larger buildings. Look carefully. The place is small with about 10 bar stools and 4 tables. It has a well curated list of taps, 130+ whiskies, wine and cocktails. There is a good food menu and busy kitchen.“

“This place was right across the road from our motel so, for once, we didn't have to walk across town to go to a decent bar. We noticed the night before this place was pumping, so we came before the dinner rush while it was relatively quiet. Has a restaurant atmosphere and indeed it seems most people come here to eat, didn't see anyone else just drinking or ordering flights. Quite a sizeable tap list - from memory there has to be at least 25 covering all bases. About 8-10 of these are their own Blaze Brewing beers, brewed elsewhere, the rest are from New England, PA, NY etc.. Again, all bases covered here apart from wild fermented, but some heavy hitters on the board.. definitely very happy with my flight choice. Only complaint here is it seemed very expensive, $19 for 4 samples / $26 for 6, plus tax!“

“Don’t waste your time. Way too many other fantastic breweries in Maine to waste time, money, and space in your liver for this. They should be ashamed of themselves.“

“Visited here for dinner Memorial Day Weekend '18. Apparently this place just opened up and it shares its space with a burger place. They roll the sidewalks up at 9:00 in Bar Harbor and I barely got my lobster roll order in ( they were very accommodating). This is a pilot brewery of their main location which I visited earlier in the day. They have completely different tap lists. The three half pints I had were great. Friendly, talkative service, a few locals dispersed around bar and tables having a good time. Worth a visit in this touristy town.“

“Stopped in to try a couple of beers. Several local taps, in two different bars. One has lots of local common beers while the other has more harder to get beers. So went to the harder to get bar, and our bartender was really friendly. Gave us a few samples, and knew them back and forth. Tried a couple of pints, no food, really good service. Well worth the stop.“

“Stopped in for dinner, nice views of the bay. Large bar area and large seating both indoors and outdoors. We sat inside, was a little chilly. Known for their seafood, beer selection was decent. Our server was not real fluent about their beers, so tried a couple of local brews.“

“Stopped in while staying at Bar Harbor. Nice open air space, with an upstairs seating area. We sat at the bar, about 20 seats in a U shaped bar. Bartender was friendly and suggested certain beers based on your food order. We tried a flight, all were tasty. Large seating area with beers to go and other merchandise. Well worth the stop.“

“Stopped in on the way to Bar Harbor. Great location off the beat and path. Started at the tap room, tasted several of their beers, with no cost. Bartender explained all their beers, very friendly place. Next, went to the BBQ building right next door, very good BBQ. Did not take a tour, enjoyed the day. Worth a stop if in the are.“

“Visited here on Memorial Day Weekend '18 while on vacation. Cozy, little tap room, about ten seats at the bar, a dozen or so tables. Have about a dozen of their beers on tap, their regulars that you see from time to time around the country and then some seasonals and specials. Served in half pints, pints, growlers and flights of tasters, reasonably priced and pretty solid. Lots of locals hanging around, all friendly, but not overly curious of outsiders, Prompt service. They serve Bar-B-Que, I wanted lobster, so didn't partake. Great place to refresh after a day of exploring Acadia National Park.“

“One of better spots when in town or even on island. Busy but tables rotate fast as this is big pub. They have plenty of local and even some rare beers on tap. Food was very good. Service was friendly enough. Bonus another tap room (with 10 taps) just door away.“

“Visited back in 2013, small bits of notes from backlog. Big beautiful curved wooden bar. All of the woodwork here is great, hand built in the 70s. Very nautical feel, not tacky though, just a lot of things that remind me of a boat. Service was quick and friendly. “

“Visited in 2013, old notes from backlog. 10 taps, 2 casks. Nice selection of Maine beers including Allagash (FV13 at the time I was there), Maine (Mo) and a couple of slightly lower tier Maine stuff (it can’t all be Maine Beer Mo). The atmosphere here is pretty neat. Eclectic yet refined, nice copper bar, cool young energetic staff. Since we were doing a bar crawl sort of thing we only got the pretzels to snack on, but damn was the red dragon rarebit that accompanied it amazing. I want those at just about every bar. If I could only pick one bar in Bar Harbor to go to, it would be Blaze. If I could pick two, this would be a pretty close second in spite of the smaller tap list, just seems a really fun place to hang out. “

“Visited in 2013. This is where all of the Atlantic and Bar Harbor stuff is made. Didn’t do a brewery tour, though I think they do have them. I also think that once you’ve done tours of a few they all start looking the same, so I often skip them unless there’s something unique. Anyway, nice thing about this place is that during the warmer months (and maybe the colder months, but really, how many people are vacationing in Bar Harbor in the colder months) the BBQ place Mainely Meats (get it? It’s a pun. Puns are funny) is open. We were both happy with the food there, though be warned there’s not a ton of vegetarian options. Well, there are, but it’s all sides. Which were good. But it wasn’t a whole meal for me. The tasting room has samples of things, and I don’t recall there being a cost associated. “

“Visited on a Bar Harbor trip back in 2013. This is the liquor store in Bar Harbor. You’re going to go here. You’re going to buy a few things from the fairly good (for a vacation town) selection. The people are friendly, and the prices reasonable. The place is charming and quaint, but as you’re likely going to end up here on a longer stay in Bar Harbor anyway, that doesn’t matter all that much. “

“Stopped in here with my wife while doing a walking tour of as many of the beer bars in Bar Harbor. Very limited taps. There’s definitely better selections elsewhere in Bar Harbor. Total of 14 taps, a couple of them being macros. The craft stuff is all lower tier craft stuff, the most common and least exciting options generally from Sam Adams, Cisco, DFH, Atlantic, Peak, Shed. Since the beer menu wasn’t very exciting, we only stayed for one beer and split a salad while there. The house dressing was pretty awesome though, some sort of a buttermilk and scallion thing which was very tasty. I’m guessing it was bottled and not made in house, but it was still good. So there. However, unless you’re trying to hit every place in Bar Harbor, I would skip this one. “

“Stopped by while in Bar Harbor on a cruise. Apparently they bought out Bar Harbor Brewing and have a mix of the two for now. Excellent service. A two ounce taster (plastic) was one dollar. Located just off the main street in the former Bar Harbor Brewing location. Do not know if old location is still operating.“

“Nice restaurant in bar harbor. Food was quite good. Selection was decent but we’re out of first two beers in draft list I asked for which annoys me. Waitress wasn’t very attentive and probably could have a gotten another drink or two out of me if she just came by more often. Thy being said would recommend this place for food and beer“

“wood fired themed place on main street in tourist town bar harbor. Indoor and outdoor seating options available. Visited on a really rare hot and humid day in BH, so opted for inside. Tap list was pretty stellar with all kinds of offerings from Maine, happy to find someplace up the coast with both Foundation and Bissell Brothers stuff, which is what I was looking for. Food was pretty solid, tried an excellent cheesy breadstick offering, which was quite good and had a lobster panini, which was good..19 bucks for a lobster roll was the going price...really enjoyed the taplist, worth a stop for beer definitely and the food was very good as well...“

“Had dinner here. Reservations are recommended! They really know how to do beer here as they had 40 taps and probably 40 bottles as well. The server wasn’t just occupying a job as he really knew his beer. I described what I wanted in a beer and he came through. The food and atmosphere were both excellent. I should also say that this is a touristy town and there is traffic everywhere in the evening and parking can be a challenge.“

“Eh not much going on here. Just a regular liquor store that has a couple small shelves dedicated to craft beer. Some local stuff, some imports, some other micros. There aren’t any great places to get bottles in Bar Harbor and if you aren’t from Maine this might be a worthwhile place to stop in to pick up a few bottles.“

“It’s a grocery store in a vacation town. There’s not much more to say about it. For a grocery store they have a decent selection and if you’re in town for a few days and not eating out for every meal you’ll eventually come here and you’ll probably buy some beer here as well.“

“Our first beer stop in Bar Harbor and we did dinner here our first night. Beautiful wood smoke fills the nose as you walk in. A touch on the dark side visually with low lighting on top of the dark black and red décor. Food was incredible. Prices seem a bit high, but this is a vacation town and the prices reflect that. Everything that we ordered had some aspect of it that was done over the wood fire, even the salads which had amazing slow roasted smokey vegetables in them. Pizzas were great. This is probably the best taplist in Bar Harbor, 34 beers on tap, well curated and featuring as much local and Maine stuff as possible. Some Allagash, Maine Beer Co. and like every other place around Bar Harbor a good amount of Bar Harbor and Atlantic beers, but here there’s enough other good variety to keep it interesting. If this place wasn’t 8 hours away from me, and 3 away from Portland (or anything else really) I’d love to come back, even if only for the pizza with slow roasted smokey tomatoes on them.“
