72 /100 616 MAIN STREET This is the brewery itself, a large facility in a purposeful generic steel warehouse. The taproom on the front end of the brewery is equally large with two long bars and lots of restaurant and bar tables. A dozen beers on tap included four from the pilot system - a large five barrel set-up that's visible behind the bar, behind glass, as is the rest of the brewhouse. Service was friendly but inattentive despite their being plenty of staff - everybody though someone else was taking car of me I guess. Food is tasty wood fired pizza, burgers and sandwiches. Worth a stop, especially for the pilot batch beers. |
62 /100 29 ELM STREET Stopped in for a snack and a sampler. Big bar and seating area. Server knew their beers and was friendly. Beers were ok, nothing stood out. |
66 /100 Carters Green Market (Grocery Store) 12 MAIN ST When I lived in Southern Maine (Yarmouth area), used to stop here after hockey games for some bombers of Unibroue, Belgh Brasse, and Central City (loved pissing out Canadian beers) after those guys would come down to Maine to beat our asses in hockey. Oh yeah, by the way, there’s some other good US breweries, ie Dogfish Head, Victory, Maine Beer Company, Rising Tide, and Smuttynose. I believe one can buy stuff for homebrewing here too. |
94 /100 29 ELM STREET Great local hangout. Best food in town and really solid beers. Try the IPA! |
68 /100 29 ELM STREET A small brew pub right off of Main St in Gorham. (behind the HannaFord) We almost didn’t see it. It is a old historic building. The old Gorham train Station was bought out years ago and turn into a restaurant. Later Sebago bought it to expand their operation. It’s very small, but the bartenders are friendly and the beer is fresh. The inside is verry clean and great artwork on painted on the walls. Besides all the seasonal beers on Draft, you can also pickup 6 packs and 22 oz bottles to go. If you are in Gorham for some reason, it’s worth the stop. We didn’t eat any food so not sure how the cooks are. |
