44 /100 Kaufland Vrchlabí (Grocery Store) LÁNOVSKÁ Large supermarket. Apr. 100 bottles and. 4 Jan Haldada meads. No specials. Go only if you want czeck ticks (or a mead). Berst beer place in Vrchlabi. |
56 /100 HORSKÁ 192 Very small brewpub. 4 taps. One new H18 oak stout and a polotmavy (H11). Friendly service but dont expect to use your english. Very expensive considering Chech rep. |
64 /100 HORSKA 198 Nice cosy brewpub. 6 taps and some nice styles. APA and polotmavy. Also a hibiscus weissen. Very low prices and friendly service, but english is not first language. |
56 /100 HORSKA 198 To sum it up quickly: delicious beers but mediocre service. Tmavé pivo was amazing, but I had to go get it myself as I was litteraly ignored by the staff. Go figure! |
74 /100 HORSKA 198 Nice brewpub on the main road to Spindelruv Mlyn. Nice young chap with a great sense of humour was serving us with their beers, and some snack to go with. We were the only guests there on a sunday afternoon. Got 3 beers on tap, also available in bottles to take away. |
70 /100 HORSKA 198 Visited the brewery during our winter holidays. It’s situated in a hotel. The food is good and traditional Czech. The beers are very fine. They have most of their beers on tap, and the rest available for sale in bottles. |
64 /100 Zámecká Konírna (Restaurant) ZÁMECKÁ 2 This is an outlet of Pivovarska Basta, the brewpub on the outskirts of Vrchlabi. They serve all of their beers, which is sometimes more than the brewpub itself, and bottles too. What makes this place even more worthy of a place entry is that the beers here are half-price of the same you get at the brewpub. More precisely, from 12Kc to 18Kc a 500ml pint. Very cheap way to get to know Basta’s beers. |
70 /100 HORSKA 198 A good restaurant/brewpub with beer cuisine and regular Czech cuisine. More beers brewed here than the average Czech brewpub, which is interesting. Prices are a little steep for the Krakonos mountains (35Kc for 0,4L), but if that is a problem for you they have an outlet in the center of Vrchlabi which serves their beers for half-price. The place is a good 30-minute walk outside of Vrchlabi, but there is a bus which crosses the whole town every 20 minutes or so. Very nice painted outside walls, an appearance ruined by the huge Coca-Cola sign on the roof. |
