70 /100 KOTLÁŘSKÁ 989/51A
“Visited a couple of times (for the Moravian Homebrewers Meeting), so, since it's visitable in general now, I'll leave a review. A classic modern micro with a "steampunk-inspired" label design run by a couple of young brewers, opened just after the first bout of COVID-19 lockdowns, in June 2020. It's located just a minute or two's walk from the Pionýrská tram station (1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12), in Kotlářská point, a bunch of office spaces in the cool, refurbished former maltery for the historical Moravia brewery (not the modern one, the one that Starobrno got in the 1930s). The entrance to the brewery is to the left, in the notably less flashy side street, up some stairs, going past a couple of doors into the wide production area. Martin, one of the brewers, was cool to talk about his beer with, so I'm sure that the tour should be cool. English was spoken, but do check if the tours can be had in English if you require it. Min. 4 people, 350czk (less than 14€)/person, with, obviously, beer to be had. They have a bunch of specials, but their Kotel 11° has been consistently great every time I had it - on tap and from the tank, props for that! Unsure about sales at the location, haven't checked, but I think not (see with them, Google says they're around Mon-Fri 10-15). All in all, a very positive newcomer to the scene that I'll gladly visit again and try more beers from - and so should you, but a place rating can't go higher.“

t' PUUB (Bar)
DOMINIKÁNSKÁ 11
“It seems that this bar is now owned by Thrills brewery, which offers most beers. It is a rusty, but cozy place with great beer. Toliet and further rooms are in the cellar accessable by thight stairs. Food is not available any more and usually it is quite cold in here.“

“Nice new place, quite small. 14 taps, from czech lagers and IPAs to some rare imperial stouts and pastry sours. Fridges full of various craft beers (currently from Romania, Poland, USA, ...).“

“We were there at some celebration, where special beer was brewed from our friend. Pub itself has nice ambiance as medieval taverm, there were 2 beers on tap, both were OK. As Marko wrote, place will be closing at end of December. For me OK place.“

74 /100 MORAVSKE NAMESTI 755/14A, VEVEŘÍ
“As djoeye said, a fairly minimalist big windowed watering hole, but nice, central, it was mentioned to me before, so I was glad when it turned out it was on my way. 8 taps, one was Kofola, the others Kamenice 10° and 12° (!!) for 44/49 for a big one (30 for small), Vorkloster 12° (55/35), Holendr 11° (46/30), some Antoš pastry sour, a Čestmír Superdelic SMASH APA and the Obora Session NEIPA. So, well covered bases, I can appreciate the Kamenice, and Vorkloster and Holendr were ticks for me (so was the Antoš, but didn't feel like drinking a pastry sour). Not sure if they have a bottle selection. Good service, fun atmosphere. Busy too - had to share a table. I liked the place a fair bit, will revisit!“

Vegalité (Restaurant)
SLOVÁKOVA 10, VEVEŘÍ
“Vegalité is a weird place, looks like a dive cellar bar / punk concert venue at the same time as being a legit vegan restaurant with a decent craft selection - and yes, it IS a craft beer place (now) - they have a selection of several beers made exclusively or "exclusively" for them, even some rare brewery ticks like Theodor - the menu is actually helpful, and you can both get small pours and pay by card, which is a wow for Brno considering other places I visited yesterday. Enough people eating, I'm fairly sure it's tasty - and they seem to do and sell their kimchi, which is fun (almost got a jar). Pro, efficient service from the ladies behind the bar. You should be able to get several rare ticks, which is a yay, so a pretty decent visit to be honest!“

“A busy cellar bar/restaurant in a street of cellar bars. More modern than some, enough random paraphernalia around, lively atmosphere, staff working hard. Weird tap list - everything is "hladinka" (0.47l). Krakonoš Černé 10°, Polička Hradební 10° and Otakar 11°, Starobrno Medium, Holba Šerák. Kanec Hořký, Samson 11° - and an unfiltered 11° from Samson under their own brand ("Steakové"), Urquell, and Krakonoš and Poutník 12°. Uncommon beers, but err, unsure about the selection. And then - 6 different flavored beers (I guess they just put the flavors in pre-tapped beer) and some "Lékárenský Hořčák" which I didn't get to ask what it was, some nealkos and whatever. All in all, you'll definitely get a tick - at least that unfiltered Samson, but it's not a selection that would draw me in. It's an okay place all in all, worth a quick walk down a narrow and steep staircase. It's generally relatively cheap too - 39 for everything except for Urquell, which is 59 (so not the cheapest around).“

70 /100 SLOVÁKOVA 357/8, BRNO - VEVEŘÍ
“Now this is a specific place. Enter into an inner courtyard, and then take a winding, narrow stair down to the cellars - and they did their best to emulate a medieval tavern, if one from games - a Witcher banner's there, someone put love and effort here all in all. Interesting beer selection, there was something on gravity, two beers from Netopýrka - a good brewing project going under the radar, for okay prices. However, annoyingly, they have a spiel about 0.5l being a small and 1l being a large beer. Yeah, fantastic, sure, please do give me 0.5l of a sour I'd not had before for 96 crowns. But I guess it's part of the concept. Waited a few minutes in front of a bar, some guy, also perhaps waiting got into a convo with me about something random, which I didn't follow fully. Awkward situation and I got no notice from the staff for a while (they might have thought I was just talking to the guy and not waiting for a beer?) so I left, thinking I'll be back next time. And now I see that the place is closing at the end of the year. Damn. Will be a shame, it's a unique place that I'd definitely go to with more time. If you're here before December 29th, give it a visit! Fairly sure the folks behind it deserve it!“

“Neighborhood sports bar first and foremost, not entirely modern, but has its vibe. Quick service. 6 taps which seem to be eternal - some Rohozec, Poutník 12°, Moravia Punkevní, their PIVX (now brewed by MadCat it seems, though the vibes were macro almost), a couple of others. At least one tick for you, then for 46CZK ofc. Probably decent place for locals to watch a game or something, I'm not one of them. You'll get at least one rare tick here though, so a reason to pop in. Note: Walking distance from Hrnčířská and Pionýrská stations (1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 12).“

58 /100 STAŇKOVA 15, KRÁLOVO POLE-PONAVA
“Very much a locals' place, two-room affair, old-school in atmosphere and feeling, not quite inviting (stares when you come in etc.), though the guy behind the bar was friendly. Two beers on tap - one from Polička, one from Beskýdský. The latter was in good shape but nothing special. 46CZK for 0.5l. People were eating, probably a fine place for that, but for beer, there's other options. A classic place more appreciated by the locals (with reason) than tourists, of course. Note: Walking distance from Hrnčířská and Pionýrská stations (1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 12). “

Montenegro Pub (Restaurant)
KOTLÁŘSKÁ 666/30, VEVEŘÍ
“Well, passed by this one more than a few times, but never entered, the big covered patio dominates its section of Kotlářská, with signs promising mainly Krušovice - and yeah, it's primarily a Krušovice pub, with a selection of their regular stuff, the nowadays seemingly uncommon Dačický, and stuff like the polotmavý Beránek. Two taps have "craft beer" signs, but the board just said Weizenbier and IPA for them, without going in deeper anywhere. Didn't go for food this time, might give it a shot next time. Busy service, 90s music when I was there. A decent place overall that you might pick up a tick or two in. Note: Get off at the Pionýrská station, it's close by (1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 12).“

“Nice reconstructed place. Colab of burger and beer pub (U Dvou Přátel moved here from Dominikánská). Good service. 7 beers on tap (10 taps available) - lagers, ales and one sour, mostly from czech/Brno craft-brewers (one Polish at that time). Good, I will visit again.“

“The Immigrant entered I at 18h a thurstday early evening. Half full place both inside and out under patios. Interior in dark brown, white walls, low music, and I ordered Immigrant Jedenactka Pivo and the 300gram Immigrant Burger. Fresh cold pilsner and a juicy bacon cheese burger. Satisfied. ********* The Immigrant Jedenactka has an off white foam on the clear golden beer, and varied lacing inside the mug. Aroma has straw, caramel, bread, mash, malts. Taste is similar and finishes malted. Normal feel of body and co². Good representative of a czech pilsner, tasted cold at The Immigrant in Brno.“

“Went inside a wensdy half past six early evening. White vaulted ceiling and walls white half way down. Interior and furniture dark brown. Welcoming staff. Some english spoken. Ordered ribs on recommendation from waitress. The jedenactka was well balanced. This place is acceptable for wife with husband also. Minus to no cardpay - v roce 2023 ne „první“ pouze s hotovostí.“
