Ambiance: Brand new place in Fulton/Highland, Maryland on 108. Occupies the space where Highland Tavern used to be and, before that, Twist and Turn Tavern. The ambiance is much improved over the previous tenants. Things feel cleaner, a bit higher end. Overall just a nicer feel, although this was negated somewhat by what clearly is a bit of a fly problem. Service: A bit on the slow side, given we went during a clearly off-peak time. And while our server was friendly, she was not familiar with the beer list, which at a beer-centric restaurant can present difficulties in ordering. It was her first day so again, slack is needed. Selection: A bit disappointing. Since it's affiliated with The Brewer's Art in Baltimore, I was hoping for a full lineup of their very excellent beers to choose from, but they only had about 4 TBA beers on tap. The other selections were fine: eg Allagash White. Food: Typically excellent TBA fare, with minor quibbles only. Perfect example, the poutine was amazing, but they didn't core any of the hot red pepper rings, so it was far spicier than many people would care for. Value: Very pricey for the area. The indecision plate (meat, cheese, pickled veggies etc) should be avoided. $20 for 6 slices of meat and four pieces of cheese is steep indeed. Overall: This feels like a very picky review, though that wasn't my intent when I started out. I'm excited for this place to be here, and I look forward to visiting again. They just have a few things to tighten up moving forward.“

“Typical package store, with plenty of booze and wine. Beer selection was a pleasant surprise, with a full aisle with a wide selection of craft choices, a full cooler wall of locals and macros, and a couple of shelves of singles. Employees were friendly and helpful. Prices were typical Maryland suburbs. As with most places like this, you do need to look for an expiration date if you're grabbing an IPA.“
