“Helaas de enige slijterij in Den Helder naast Gall en Gall. Qua assortiment proberen ze nog regelmatig te verversen. Alleen slechtere services als hier ga je niet aan treffen. De oude eigenaar beveelt op vrij autistische toon wat je moet doen en waag het om nee te zeggen. Daarnaast hebben ze ook tot mijn grote verrassing ook nog een nieuw business model ontwikkelt om hun omzet te verhogen. Namelijk statiegeld!!! Standaard krijg je sowieso geen bon, dus je weet niet of er überhaupt statiegeld op een flesje zit. Maar mocht de stap naar de winkel wagen dan zeggen ze doodleuk dit flesje ken ik niet, hier zit geen statiegeld op. Ook al verkochten ze dat biertje een paar maanden daarvoor nog. Je zou zeggen foutje kan altijd voorkomen. Maar merk dat dit geen incident is. Sterker nog de eigenaresse loopt constant op haar man te vitten als ze merkt dat een biertje ergens anders goedkoper is. Kortom vreselijke tent bij elke regulier buurtsuper krijgt je sowieso meer service en begrip. Complete afrader tenzij je als klant in de zeik gezet wilt worden. Gebruik deze tent dan ook alleen om nieuwe biertjes aan te schaffen en blijf er voor de rest zover mogelijk weg.“

“Popped in on my walk from the station to the ferry. Medium-sized bottle shop with a small, but decent beer selection. Around 100 different bottles maybe, usually Belgians, but also a few locals such as Helderse Jongens (and everything from Texelse). Decent prices, friendly staff, but overall only interesting for a few bottles from the area.“

“Lunchroom, coffeebar and beerpub, a rather uncommon combination, but I like it. Macro Hertog Jan on tap, but nice bottles with quite a few regional brews. The owner is interested in Dutch beer, the selection is changing all the time. Must visit if you are in Den Helder, together with Neptunus.“

“Nice place, but not really a beer place. They have Texelse on tap, which is nice, but no exception in Den Helder. Good stop for a lunch, decent food and friendly service.“

“Had a lovely stay in Stadscafé Flow yesterday. The ambiance is great. Nice place, round tables and sort of lounchy seats. The food was of good price/quality. Very friendly service. You can also just have a beer or two with friends at the bar. We had a great evening and definetely come back there.“

“Nice place near the fish market/auction and the Royal Navy harbour. It’s cosy and the service is friendly. Great place for drinking a beer with friends and have some dinner.“

“Cosy restaurant with great seafood and some nice beers on tap (Texelse is always available). As far as I know this is the only bar in Den Helder where you can get a stout (Murphy’s on draught, rare in NL). Friendly staff. The food is great, but they don’t mind if you just come around for a pint or two.“

“Den Helder lacks a real beerpub, but Het Boerenverdriet is not bad. Besides the normal stuff they tap a local brew from Texelse and another ale, most of the time Belgian. Bottled selection is less interesting. Some good wiskeys. The cosy atmosphere makes it a good pub, there is live music very often, people are open and friendly.“
