64 /100 The Vinery (Beer Store) 3976 PELHAM ST Primarily a wine shop. Have a small but decent selection of microbrews including Founders. Might be the best in the nearby area but not what one would call a spectacular craft beer store. |
58 /100 The Vinery (Beer Store) 3976 PELHAM ST Not a bad selection of beers for what is basically a large party store with a deli. They’ve recently expanded their craft beer selection. The usual domestic / regional suspects like Bell’s, Great Lakes, Founders, Red Hook, Sierra Nevada, Anchor. Some less-than-exotic imports also: Weihenstephaner (sp?), Hofbrau Munchen, Paulaner. Some oddballs, too. Huge liquor section. Worth a stop if you want more selection than 7-Eleven, but you will definitely pay more. Prices here are a big "minus". Its one redeeming quality is that it’s about 3 minutes from my house. Staff seem like good guys, always pleasant. |
60 /100 The Vinery (Beer Store) 3976 PELHAM ST Great for wine, just an average place to get beers but really friendly staff. |
8 /100 The Vinery (Beer Store) 3976 PELHAM ST Stopped in the other day (4/20/09) and this place has changed for the worse......they are just into wine and liquor now.....very little beer...maybe a cooler of easy to find MI micros and that’s it......you’d be better off stopping at 7-11....I think they have a better beer selection than this place......NOT WORTH THE STOP..........OLD REVIEW Stopped in here a while ago just to look around. Pretty nice liquor/wine/beer store w/ a nice selection of micro beers. Problem was everything was a dollar or two (or more) than every other store around. If in a pinch I’d pick something up here, but wouldn’t go out of my way to stop in. |
