“Not a bad little liquor store up in the area around Tower/Fortune Bay Casino. This is part of the Y-Store complex, at the junction of highways 1 and 169. Walk-in beer cooler with most of the popular American big breweries covered, but they also have some craft brews. Most of the Surly line is available, a lot of Summit beers, plus New Belgium, Big Sky, and others. I’ve found both Uinta and Big Wood beers up there lately. Ambiance is that of a small liquor store. Service wasn’t great, but the salespeople, clerk, etc., are friendly. Value was quite good--I found Surly going much more cheaply than in the Twin Cities and got a deal on Uinta beer because it wasn’t in their database. Worth a stop if you’re in the area.“
