60 /100 Plaza Liquor (Beer Store) 1450 CLEMENTS BRIDGE RD Hadn’t stopped in this shopping center in years, happy to find a small little local with friendly service. Bluntly, this is a typical hole-in-the-wall neighborhood liquor store for people buying cases of BMC, but stock was fresh and there was enough to have me peek in next time I’m around. Very few singles, mostly tallboy cans and 40s, but there are some seasonal craft bombers and a small number of 12 oz bottles in the (very effective) cooler. The offerings differ just enough from the others in neighboring municipalities, e.g. there’s Genny Cream here. |
56 /100 Bobkat Liquors (Beer Store) 1361 DELSEA DR Not bad for a small local! Store interior is clean and well-organized, focus clearly more on liquor and wine. Craft selection isn’t enormous but of pretty good quality. Solid growler station with eight taps, currently including Celebrator and even a perry. I’ll be back for sure. [2013.04.25: 70] Ehhh, the prices aren’t great and there are old IPAs on the shelves, to say nothing of the dust layer on the green-glassed Einbecker. Selection is at least slightly different from other stores in the area. [2017.03.20: 50] |
74 /100 Bobkat Liquors (Beer Store) 1361 DELSEA DR Mainly a wine and liquor shop but it does have a respectable selection of craft beer. A fair amount of bombers and singles. Local stuff as well as some of the more popular beers. Nothing too rare or limited but a solid selection. The growler station is the best part of the store. Solid taps from top to bottom. I picked up a growler of Carton 007XX for $14. No ambiance to speak of. The lady that assisted me was extremely helpful and friendly. Not a place to go out of the way for because you generally won’t find any bottles you have been really searching fo, but the growler station is solid and may have some things worth stopping in for. |
