“We drove past on the first time - it really is a little hole in the wall place - just a sign and open alleyway to the door. Once inside however it is a nice inviting taproom with plenty of seating and games. They had a good selection of beers on tap and they were all good.“

“Great location in the middle of town. The place was busy, but the service kept up. The beers I had were quite good, the Tripel and the Strong Ale. The food is average bar and grill offerings, but not bad at all. What really made an impression on me was the crowd. All 20 to 30 year-olds, but extremely friendly, courteous, and interactive beyond their own groups. Wish I could've spent more time in town, looked well worth checking out.“

“Nice place with quite a few beers on tap. Lots of locals, some foreigns, and some high end craft, but nothing unusual. Wings were pretty tasty and a good deal, and the girls working the bar and the floor were great. I'd certainly be back here again when in the area.“

“It has 4 brew kettles and two brite tanks in open view. The chairs and the food are limited. There are some guest taps with an open kitchen. Overall, it is cozy.“

“We arrived at 7:30 PM on a Monday and after we ordered our beers were informed last call was in 10 minutes. After a lengthy discussion with the manager about what was happening, she informed us that they’re just hanging on, waiting for the completion of a downtown re-development nearby. They hope this will enable them to get back to much more than their currently posted hours of 5 PM - 9 PM (and typically closing earlier at the manager’s discretion due to low customer traffic). Anyway, about the beer: the 80 tap selection is the best in the county and I didn’t see any of the macro taps a previous reviewer noted. They were only out of a couple of brews that our party of 6 tried to order on two different nights. Went back on Wednesday on the manager’s recommendation since they have half-priced drafts and there’s typically more customers. She was correct and we closed them down at 9 PM. The service and food were both good, and the beer was a great value. Hope they can hang on and thrive.“

“Went for lunch. Ambiance is good and they have a nice patio between buildings which is nice. Beer selection was good except they need to up their game on locals. Food was a nice surprise, streak sandwich is quite nice.“

“Large place, brewhouse visible through glass near the bar. Plenty of parking. Medium sized bar, all else is tables, including some upstairs. Service appeared stressed - in fact, they borrowed our server from the Taphouse next door. Friendly but very slow. Food was as generic as the decor. Good prices. Flights of seven available, all were passable. Good enough stop.“

“Same building as Huske brewery, different entrance. Was closing as we arrived at 6:30 PM on a Monday. Yes, 6:30. I asked if that was unusual, and they said they closed last Saturday at 7. So there you go. Huge long row of taps behind the single long bar, then scattered tables. Two Huske beers. Pretty generic decor. Friendly service. We ate next door. Come early.“

“This is THE place to go to for beer in Fayetteville. Tap list is extensive, and featured all the local breweries, so I was happy to try beers from the ones we didn’t get a chance to hit. Didn’t try the food, but everyone said the barbecue was very good. I happened to sit at the corner of the bar where the locals were hanging out - Andrew, Travis and Khalid, to be specific - so it was way more fun discussing beer with them rather than with soldiers - nothing against soldiers, mind you. Time passed quickly, and the beers were flowing. I like that they do paddles of four, so you can work your way slowly but surely through the menu. Go out of your way to come here. Thanks, gentlemen!“

“Large modern place, looks like an Applebees except for the brewhouse behind the bar. Service was friendly enough. The beers varied tremendously, with some that were worth drinking. Food was OK. I guess you have to try this place if you’re in town, but don’t go out of your way.“

“Located in a historic building on one of the main streets in the heart of Fayetteville and about a 10 minute detour from the I-95 corridor. Friendly greeting upon entering the inviting, warm feel of the dining area and adjoining bar. The sounds of passing trains a block away added to the ambiance. Counted about 7 or so of their own drafts and another 6-7 guest taps; not sure of their bottle selection. We stuck with the house brews, which were pretty good. Only one that I did not care for was the bock seasonal. They have specials on different nights of the week and when we were there all drafts were $2, so that was a great value. Food menu was more than just pub grub; satisfying but not memorable. Good service from the bartender. Worth a visit if in the area.“

“Visited on a Friday afternoon. Nice location in downtown Fayetteville. Typical, but nice brewpub atmosphere. Lots of wood, nice long bar area. 6 house beers on tap when I visited, sampler trays offered. They also had around 8-10 other beers on tap, but it was really shitty macro selection. Their beers were pretty average for a brewpub. Nothing really stood out, but there were a couple crappy beers. I didn’t try the food, but it looked like standard pubfare. This place is probably worth checking out if you are going to be in town, but not worth going out of your way to visit.“

“Oh my. Ambiance is upscale restaurant vibe. My bartender was fairly unhelpful and unprofessional. I did not eat, but the gentleman next to me had some broccoli on his plate that was well overcooked, so I have no hopes about the quality of the food. Even less so considering the quality of the beer. EASILY the worst beer I’ve found at any brewery in North Carolina, maybe anywhere. Count your blessings if your beer is weak and lacking any character. It only gets worse from there. Beers off balance, beers horribly infected. At least it’s cheap. Just awful.“

“Located next door to Huske Hardware, this is more of a sports bar and tap house than the other side. Two rooms, exposed stone walls, long bar with a ton of taps on the right side. I didn’t stay as I was comparing the two tap lists and opted to try more of the house beers at the main place, as they only had two of them here. Bartender seemed pleasant and I dealt with a manager who was very helpful. Lots of macro stuff on the taps, very common imports, but also some solid stuff.“

“Located downtown, plenty of street parking at 5PM on a Sunday. I was a little afraid to come here, because I tried their beers at a festival and they were horribly infected. Even worse, the brewer was pouring them and clearly indicated he didn’t care. Well, maybe he did care and he just decided to act like a prick back at the festival, because the same beers today were much better, even if they did have some faint infection notes. The place itself is fairly modern decor. Bar on the right, lots of tables, two levels, with the brewery visible towards the back of the place. 5 house beers on tap, which were all drinkable but nothing stood out. They have several macro options on tap as well as a guest tap which had another NC micro (which was better than any of their house beer... OOPS!). The bartender was overworked, which speaks of a management issue, but she also projected very clearly she didn’t want to be there, and she provided poor customer service. I did not try the food, and I’m glad I didn’t because another customer ordered and received his food just a couple minutes later. That scares me. Overall, this is a place that is nowhere near its potential.“

“This place is located right down the road from Ft Bragg, so a boisterous atmosphere is guaranteed. I visited for a late night meal and felt like I was the only guy in there who wasn’t in the Army. Despite this, the ambiance was fine. Very bro-centric, sure, but not off-putting. Loud music, plenty of TVs showing sport, motorcycle memorabilia all over the place. The tap list is pretty large and craft-focussed. There was your usual selection of big boys like Dogfish Head and Bells alongside a decent number of beers from North Carolina (Old Hickory, Foothills etc.). The food’s decent barbecue. Not mind blowing, but hearty and of good value. The slaw was pretty awesome. The only real issue I had was with the service. My waitress was friendly, but a total space cadet. She wasn’t able to answer a few very basic questions I had about the menu, and generally seemed to struggle. Overall, worth a stop if you’re passing through the area and craving a large tap list.“

“April 2013 - Visited on a Friday night, unwittingly amidst a big downtown festival. We got there just before 9pm and got a table right away, but apparently they were going to start charging a $9 cover charge at any minute! (?? Really?). The service was friendly and efficient, but the waitress was fairly ignorant of beer. The food we ordered (appetizers and salads) came out in a fairly snappy manner and was good enough. The beers were a bit ordinary, and the best were simply average. Neat outside building space, could’ve been fitted up a bit nicer. Overall, an OK place. Brewery #601.“

“This place had a great feel to it. Wood everywhere, multiple levels, TVs with sports, and just a little bit dark. Booths have high backs, so you get a lot of privacy. Food is extremely tasty, and the service is great. They had six of their own beers on draft, though a flight was a little expensive ($15 for a sampler of 6). They had several other guest beers on draft (mostly local). Nice place.“

“I visited recently on a family vacation. We arrived around 6 pm on a Friday. There were 4 adults and 4 kids in our party and we were seated right away. Service was slow. Just like everything else in the south. But the guy really knew his stuff about the menu and the beer. The food was outstanding. I had their version of a French dip steak sandwich and it’s probably the best one I’ve ever had. Chicken wings were outstanding and my daughter raved about the salmon. Beer was just average. Their ipa that they won a medal for at gabf years ago was just average. My favorite beer was their porter. It was nice and robust. Nice place, good service, great food, and average beer.“

“Located in the downtown area in an old hardware store gives it a unique character. They have a good selection of beers to choose from. They have number of other brews on tap as well as their own. Service was good and personnel were friendly. I tried a number of their brews and the one I enjoyed best was the "Grand Cru". There is good quality pub grub to compliment the beers. I visited a few times while in the area on business and found the Monday night beer special is a great time to indulge & sample the brews. “

“This place is an interesting stop right off I-95. We stopped by around 2 pm on a Monday and the place was pretty deserted. I ordered a sampler of beers and some food. The beers were average to good. The food was pretty unremarkable. Despite the place being empty, there were plenty of staff who seemed to be more interested in talking with each other than serving the customers. On the up side, they do have some good happy hour deals.“

“Decent beer selection here. Lots of 6 packs, in addition to a decent selection of single bottles. They have a fairly decent selection of Belgians by the bottle, as well as quite a few local beers by the 6-pack. Nice place to stock up if you’re ever coming through Fayetteville.“

“Been to Huske a few times. Two stories, with tables at both and a nice bar. The downstairs turns into a dancefloor on Fri and Sat nights. Nice beer selection of their own brews, as well as offering some decent other offerings as well. Pretty good food, though somewhat overpriced. Not as bad as the Mash House though. One of the better places in Fayetteville to grab a pint.“

“Stopped by here on the way back from Brewvival. I suppose this is a decent selection for the location, but to be honest, I was not all that impressed. They did have mix-a-six section, and prices on everything was significantly lower than I expected, by about 15% - 20%! Clean and simply organized, I would probably shop here if I lived in town, but no way I would ever pull off the interstate to make a stop again. I’d rather make the detour to Sam’s Qiuk Shop in durham.“

“Definitely focuses more on teh restaurant than the beer end of things. Great food, but expensively priced. Definitely more upscale. Great beer, but all they offer is their own. Overall, one of the best places in Fayetteville, which isn’t saying too much. Very serviceable beers that are always fresh. Can buy by the growler.“

“When I was stationed at Ft. Bragg we would try to go about once a payday. On a soldier’s pay that was about all I could afford. I haven’t been there in 10 years since I’ve moved from the area, but if I get a chance to go back, I definately will. They always had 6 to 10 beers on tap, you couldn’t go wrong w/the sampler platter. The food was always excellent, I would get the Blackened Chicken Focaccia or the soup of the day served in a bread bowl. On the weekends they would always have live bands in the bar area and the atmosphere was great. Overall I would recommend this place.“

“Went in on a Friday around 5pm before a Fireantz hockey game. Nice place with a bar with both their own brews and some others on tap. TV’s throughout. Many booths and an outdoor area exist along with an upstairs area. No smoking in the place which is a plus. Very clean. Tried the appetizer sampler and a chef salad, both were of good quality. The wife liked her sandwich also. Worth a try if in the area.“

“August 08. Kind of a weird location, it sits not too far off from a shopping strip mall back in some industrial kind of area. The restaurant looked to be on the nicer side of brewpub, meaning more focus on the restaurant than just the beer. The bar was also kind of nice with some sofachairs and tables around, the clientele wasn’t as nice as the decor. But hey I’m here for the beer. They were out of the seasonal, so they brought me the root beer in the sampler instead. I appreciate that, good service all around. And the food was all made form scratch, and was accordingly pretty good. Better than the beer that’s for sure.“

“Visited in April 2007 and was pleasantly surprised. The brewpub sits off by itself behind some hotels in an out-of-the way area, which is a bit weird. That might explain why although we stopped duirng the lunch hour on a weekend, there was hardly anyone there. We sat at the bar and the ’tender was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. It was an average suburban brewpub setting with some cool beer murals. Our food was decent and the beers ranged from average to very good. Definitely worth a stop if in the area; worth our hour-long detour to visit.“

“This store is located about 10kms from I-95, so I found it a practical stop as we were blazing through North Carolina. They had Duck Rabbit regulars and 1 seasonal, some Terrapins as well, Highland brews, other regionals, and an intelligent selection of imports. Not worth a detour by any means (I’m sure there are better stores in the state), but if you are driving along I-95, this might be the best you’ll find without losing hours going inland.“
