88 /100 Lamplighter Lounge (Bar) 200 16TH ST SW One of the two best places to find good beer in Minot, the other being Broadway Liquor. The owner really cares about good beer. I've spoken to him a couple of times and he's passionate about getting the best beers into Minot, and I've seen his effort pay dividends. I've been able to buy some great beers that folks in the big cities are jealous of. Oh, also this place has a nice bar and it's great to have a pint or two here. |
84 /100 Broadway Liquor (Grocery Store) 1030 N BROADWAY One of the two best places to buy beer in Minot, the other being the Lamplighter. This place is great, they have a bar that you can get growler fills, or even better get a pint to drink while you shop! Selection is pretty good, good mix of easy drinkers, pick your own 6-packs, sours, barrel aged. Something for everyone, including a whisky/scotch bar... sample some good stuff before you buy. Like I said, top notch. |
94 /100 JL Beers - Minot (Bar) 2001 22ND AVENUE SW ---Rated via Beer Buddy for Android |
70 /100 JL Beers - Minot (Bar) 2001 22ND AVENUE SW A small but nice place, good looked good, lots of people coming and going. Had five surly beer on when I visited. Worth the stop |
68 /100 JL Beers - Minot (Bar) 2001 22ND AVENUE SW Good beer burger restaurant. Biggest issue I have is the size. It is teeny tiny and cramped. I think their business model is quick service and turnover because you really don’t feel like lounging or hanging out for much longer than it takes you to eat your food. The food btw is top notch, great burgers and variety of them. Service is very friendly and beer selection is good. |
58 /100 Cash Wise Liquor - Minot (Beer Store) 3224 16TH ST SW Large place, beer covered two walls of coolers and one set of shelves that ran the length of the store. One cooler of singles, mix a six for $11. But everything else was sixers or cases. Very little local stuff, although they did had ciders and meads from three ND wineries. Handful of stuff from the region. Overall disappointing, but the best bottle shop I visited in Minot. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. |
70 /100 JL Beers - Minot (Bar) 2001 22ND AVENUE SW This place is fairly close to the mall, maybe a 15 minute walk (with few sidewalks). Long bar, tables. Five ND beers on tap, two house beers. The flights are pre-set, though, you can’t choose. Server took pity on me and let me have a custom all-ND flight. Thanks! Good burgers. Bottle to go, but no local bottles sadly. |
62 /100 Marketplace Liquor - Minot (Grocery Store) 1930 SOUTH BROADWAY STREET Clean place, but nothing notable for ambiane. Service was lackluster. Selection was good, very complete selection of Bell’s; bombers from Rogue, Green Flash, and Sierra Nevada. Good selection of regional beers. Value is where this place failed for me, some beers had a $6 markup compared to what I have seen at nearby liquor stores! Overall, good for selection, especially of bombers and regionals. |
62 /100 Cash Wise Liquor - Minot (Beer Store) 3224 16TH ST SW It is a clean place, but ambiance is nothing notable. Nice staff, but not very knowledgeable of their wares. Selection is pretty good; about fifteen bombers to choose from including New Belgium, Green Flash, Sierra Nevada. Also has a pick six option. Prices are good and reasonable. Overall, decent selection of craft, and some unique beers compared to other regional liquor stores. |
64 /100 Cash Wise Liquor - Minot (Beer Store) 3224 16TH ST SW Nice new addition to Minot, best cooler in town now. Mixed 6 packs, some bombers, most stuff refrigerated. |
70 /100 Marketplace Liquor - Minot (Grocery Store) 1930 SOUTH BROADWAY STREET Best place to purchase bottles in Minot, that I have seen so far. Bombers available, but no singles or build-your-own-sixer available. Selection has steadily improved since I’ve arrived. Still not great service. |
62 /100 Cash Wise Liquor - Minot (Beer Store) 3224 16TH ST SW A decent spot to get a few Craft Brews in Minot. One of the tops here in Minot, actually. I hear occasionally they get in some good offerings from Bell’s and New Belgium, but haven’t seen that for myself, yet. |
58 /100 Marketplace Liquor - Minot (Grocery Store) 1930 SOUTH BROADWAY STREET Not too shabby. Better selection than most in western ND. Split selection of micros, some in the back and some in the way back of the store. Almost everything was stored in the coolers. No singles and no bombers to be seen. Prices were good, but service was poor. |
62 /100 Marketplace Liquor - Minot (Grocery Store) 1930 SOUTH BROADWAY STREET For the area, this is the best place. It’s a nice clean store, with a decent range of the highly available micros. |
