“This used to be the site of a Dekabrist branch with a pretty decent selection. But things are always changing in Russia. These days it is the second retail location for local brewery Nova. Something like 12 beers on tap, all made by Nova. No bottles, no cans. It’s only 1 litre or 1.5 litre crowlers for take out. Unlike the aforementioned bar there is no seating. In fact it’s kind of strange, just a counter and nothing else, not a single chair or table. Service is unexpectedly friendly. A disused washing machine stands by the entrance. As for the beer, well, let’s say it’s good and diverse by regional standards.“

“The brewery/shop for Guter Brauer. Staff is rather grumpy and don’t care — I asked where some beer is from, but instead of going round the back to find out I got the answer “I don’t know”. Beer is below average bland regional fare (let’s brew some lagers and call it craft). Seven beers brewed on site, six lagers and one gose, six ‘guest’ beers with no information about who brewed them. The shop itself (clean and modern) is the only redeeming factor.“

“German-style restaurant. Beer selection is not great - seven imports and two beers (lager and tmavy) that are brewed specially for the place (or rebranded - not sure). Prices are what you would expect in Moscow. Service and food are good, but overall this place is pricey.“

“Spacious restaurant/brewpub in the heart of a Russian city that interestingly used to have more German inhabitants than Russians. Beer offering is a bit limited - about 10 or so beers on tap/bottled, plus three beers brewed by the place (Slavia) - a polotmavy, lager and a tmavy. Food is probably the best in town.“
