“This place is full for Saturday afternoon. Bar seats a dozens people and tables to seat another 50 people or so. 8 beers of their own here and the food looks tasty. This place is in downtown Berra Ohio and plenty of parking in back. Bartenders are nice and punctual. Dim lights is nice and big windows in the front keep this place lit up. Nice place, glad I came, and would come back. Cheers!“

“Second stop of the evening. Decent sized place with a small front patio and a big bar. They only serve their own beers, and had eight of them on tap when I was there. 4oz samples are $1 each (!). Service is good, food is pretty decent, beers are solid, not exceptional. Worth a stop.“

“Stopped on a Wednesday night, with a group of 6 of us, no wait to be seated mostly empty bar with a dark dim ambiance, which was cool.. they feature up to 9 of their beers on tap.. typically the number is 7. decent beer. food is good, and kitchen is right up front where you can see whats going on. prices are a touch high on food i thought but everything else is well done. in the middle of BW college, you often don’t find a college crowd. small patio out front and parking on the side of the building.“

“This place is a nice neighborhood watering hole. They had eight of their own beers on tap, plus a full bar. Pizzas, burgers and salads on the menu. The beers were all solid enough to support this neat little place.“

“Easy to find location on corner with parking next to the building. Came in the back door with the brewing operation on your left and along bar and seating area to your right. Bar in the center left. Saturday lunch crowd that was busy but not crowded. Staff behind the bar was friendly and was quick to offer the sampler set. Stand on the bar with printed description of beers was very helpful. All of the beers were good drinkable beers with one outstanding seasonal beer. Did not get an opportunity to try the food but the food I saw was well presented and was a large portion. Don’t know if I will make it back to this dislocation again but I enjoyed the visit.“

“What I liked about this place: convenience to airport; good accoustics so that you can hold a conversation without shouting; well lit; mid sized yet lots of seating available including at bar, andat lunchtime; and very decent beer though nothing extreme. My favourite beer was a fruit beer with real fruit an higher abv (6.7%) than the rest of the more sessionable choices. A passable homemade root beer. Nice tables and chairs, very good service.“

“A very nice bar. Can become very crowded at times. Draft beers are limited to the cornerstone offerings which are only slightly above average. Usually just a handful of drafts available. The food is pretty good and prices are reasonable.“

“Best stop on this trip, great food and service, now seven taps and very nice location. Could be more selection but the beers were fairly distinctive.“

“They did a very nice job at remodeling this place, and the beer for the "most" part was pretty good, we got a sampler....9, 2 or 4 oz. glasses from light to dark ( Lager to a Porter ). The food was fantastic, from sandwiches to full dinners, and appetizers. Actually I think the food was better than the beer. Although I can’t knock the beer, It was very good too. I’ve been here 3 times and to another brewery 3 times. Cornerstone wins in a landslide. Worth the 35 min. trip any day. Their Grindstone Gold is a smooooth Lager I could drink all day (and may have)4.5%. And their Seven....An India pale ale made with a variety of hops for loads of aroma, flavor, and bitterness. Served unfiltered. 7.5% abv. (This is for the one in Madison Ohio.)“

“Came here on vacation while attending a Browns game. Received a 12 beer sampler flight, still the largest I have ever received. It was also cheaper than many 5 beer samplers I’ve received, so great value. The food was amazing and I would definitely like to go back. Great place!“

“stopped by for lunch around 1pm. The place was pretty crowded, but there was room at the bar and a couple tables were open. $9 for 9 samples of beer and I got there pizza lunch special of the day, which was a bbq pork pizza. I hardly looked at the menu, so i don’t know if this was a dumb choice or not. the pizza was good. I went here by myself, but other patron’s food looked good. The waitor was non existent at times, but it coulda been worse. Seven was the best beer available. worth a trip, especially if your hungry.“

“The ambiance and the location are really cool. Brick and stone work are really appealing. Have met the two brewers on a couple of occassions including their first dinner tasting last year. These guys are great - knowledgeable, helpful and interesting. The Chef is incredible coming up with some outstanding food. The Grilled Portabella Burger was fantatic. The "Seven" Brew made from seven hop varities is a mainstay on my list.“

“(Visited 06/2008): Cornerstone Brewing is located in downtown Berea just a couple miles from I-71. Street parking is fairly plentiful in the surrounding Berea Triangle area. The brewpub is long and relatively narrow with the bar running almost the entire length of the establishment. Table seating takes up the rest of the space. There is a board showing all the current beers on tap behind the bar. The beer selection is decent and pretty well-rounded, and Cornerstone has a sampler of their 7 beers available. The beers range from Lager to Dry Stout with a couple interesting choices like a Tripel and Spring Wine. Overall the beers are average with one or two standouts. Service was decent on a weekday evening. The food here is above average pub grub. I tried a burger and found it very tasty, and my friends also enjoyed their sandwiches. Overall this is a worthwhile stop considering how near the interstate it is. Definitely worth a visit to anyone traveling to or from Cleveland on I-71.“

“This is almost as great a stop as the BrewKettle if you are heading to the Cleveland airport or have a long layover (really it’s a perfect stop for any Cleveland traveler). 8 MIN from rental car return! Quiet little neighborhood with a nice little brewery on the corner. Good atmosphere, quick and generally knowledgeable service. The beer selection was very good in my opinion and all the beers were drinkable to very good. The food looked, smelled and tasted great. Solid food and beer all the way around. I will be back!“

“A decent little stop on the west side of Cleveland, I’ve now been here twice. The food is your typical brewpub fare - nothing to get excited about but solid nonetheless. The atmosphere can be fun but once again don’t expect anything more than modern brewpub (bar in the middle, tables clustered around, view of the brewing area). The taps can be hit or miss depending on the time you visit. The first time I was in I tried a decent pumpkin beer. The second was a milk stout which was disappointing. The trend I’m detecting is that the beers here aren’t going to be awful but neither are they amazing. This is your run of the mill neighborhood brewpub. If you’re going to the Brew Kettle and want to kill some time it might be worth a stop. On the other hand if you only have time to hit up one you’ll fare better down the road in Strongsville.“

“Comfy, clean little brewpub on the square in Berea. Friendly, prompt service. Tasty and fresh seasonals. As mentioned by other raters, the beers have been very good since Erik has taken charge. I’ve always found the food to be light, tasty, and filling. Grat place to stop for pre/post Browns training camp visits!!!“

“Neat space for a brewpub, though it does feel a bit confining for its narrowness. Plenty of beers to choose from, but none of them did much for me. Service was pleasant but a little slow. Good food.“

“The cornerstone has a great selection of bers on tap since the new brewer, Erik Rohschiller, has taken over. In october i had the pumpkin ale and it was out of this world. In December Erik has is christmas alr on tap and i must say it is the BEST christmas ale i have ever had. The food is also great and sitting next to the wood burning stove was like sitting in heaven.. This is a place you need to check out if you haven’t done so, and if you haven’t been there since Erik took over as brewer you should really get out there and rate it again.. Great turnover since changing owners!“

“Small little brewpub in downtown Berea. Nice old brick decor everywhere, pretty small is what I don’t like not a whole lot of seating small tables and a bar area, a couple plasma tv’s hanging up. Last time I went they had 8 on tap, the beer was good and a brewery in Berea is never a bad thing.“

“my visit was back in Jan, not to long after the grand opening. beer sampler was decent. rumor had it beer was sitting due to issues with a liquor permit delaying opening. menu was quite pricey for a bar that pretty much sits on a colllege campus. tables and seats are on top of each other, not much space to offer. BUT, possible return visit could happen“

“Located in Berea in the site of the old Quarryman Tavern, they’ve re opened this with a few modifications to the interior design. Right around the corner from BW College, the crowd is a mix of college students, local residents, and wandering beer lovers. The decor is dark wood tables with both ceramic tile & lamiate wood flooring. There are a few plasma flatscreen TV’s behing the bar, as well as a full view of the kitchen area. Golden tee golf provides some entertainment as do live bands/entertainment from time to time, and there is a fireplace to help warm yourself on a cold Cleveland winter night. Doug the brewer is very friendly and would love to hear what you think of his beers. We did not try the food on this trip, but unfortunately, the burning oil from the fryers was not exactly conducive to effectively rating beers. Very clean place, friendly wait staff. I’d go back again for beer, and to eat next time. THey also have cask conditioned ales every Thursday, but you gottta get there early since they are only 5 gallon releases.“
