“Stopped here for a mid week travel dinner because there is not much else in town. Modern decor with some chill alternative rock. Primarily wine focused, there are 9 taps that are decent. Nothing great but it beats the holiday inn skunked yuengling Laaagggggggerrr. Right merc? Food menu is mostly small plates and sandwiches, but very diverse and interesting. That said I got the burger which was perfectly prepared and beyond tasty. While not the ideal place by any means, you would have to consider there is literally no where else in town with this atmosphere, quality of food, and even mediocre beer selection. I would come back if I ever found myself in the pits called Lima, Ohio.“

“Pretty much a wine store with a smaller selection of bottles to go. The selection is decent quality. Small 10 seat bar at the back of the place. Tap selection was decent, some run of the mill stuff but some other cool grabs. My only complaint is some of the taps are mug club only, which sucks for someone just passing through town. No food either which stinks. Overall a decent place to have a beer or two.“

“Most important: everything is available as singles. (Nov 2015 - not many singles anymore, but, on the flip side, there are now 36 taps, with selections to satisfy any palate. So come to drink it here - or take a growler) Good selection, including some rare Belgians (too bad I can’t justify $30+ for a GOOD bottle of Ale), friendly, helpful service, good variety in twelve taps. Ambiance is toward the wine (the primary product here), but very well done, and in the back there is the bar with all those taps. This place seems a little out of touch with the rust belt character I’ve associated with Lima, but, more power to them for it. Several patrons were there at 4:30 in the afternoon. Worth a stop if you’re nearby.“

“Vino Bellissimo has moved again, and the new location has a much nicer outdoor area, more wine, more beer, and twelve taps where you can just drink. When I was there the taps were all big, good beers. They sell all the beers in singles, and now you can drink while you browse. Definitely worth checking out while in Lima.“

“Typical grocery - nice that the beer is to the right just after you enter the store. About 50 styles available in singles and six-packs. Price s average for the choices.“

“For Lima, this place is really nice. More of a wine bar, it has high end liquor, rotating taps of high quality imports and craft beer, and a small but really nice bottle selection. Fancy pub food, specials and the occasional tap take over. Very hip, modern space in an old building. Worth seeking when stuck in Lima.“

“Beautiful setting: This wine bar brings tasting to the forefront in its small plate dinners and tasting specials 4 x $10. Easy access off I75. Food is awesome, best in the area. Only 6 taps though, but local bottles from Hopping Frog, New Holland, etc.“

“This is just a grocery store, but it does have a surprising wall of beer. Lots of seasonals and US craft beers. A few foreign beers, and mini kegs of Two Hearted. And they sell SINGLES of most of it. It is all room termperature, but it is the best selection in Lima.“

“This is the only place I would ever consider buying my good brews from around this area. Their selection is amazing! Over 400 different craft and imported brews to choose from. What I like the most is the option to buy all singles if you so choose on everything. Not to mention that you can enjoy a nice pint while shopping. Their knowledge us uncontested and their prices are as low as they can go (so they say ;) ) If you live in or around Lima, or are driving through, you should take the time and stop by!“

“Was greeted by the staff with a friendly hello and welcome for stopping in. As the had a wine tasting going on I told them I was just going to look at the beer selection. (hehehe so I lied to them I already spotted some excellent brews) After a pass through the aisle and a return trip towards the staff I asked if I could get a little help on the beer. The young man set his sample down and helped immediately. I then presented him with my list of things I was looking for and what styles the wife and I liked. He suggested Great Divide Yeti Stout, Trois Pistoles, and the Ommegang Chocolate Indulgence. And I grabbed a 12 oz bottle of Rochefort Trappist 10. After ringing me out and bagging me I asked him about Lambics, having seen quite a bit on the forums about them and the young man, who was very well informed, told me the Gueze(sp), was quite sour, but The fruited ones were tasty. I said in what way, he said I have a raspberry on tap. Cool ! I was afforded the taste , smell and mouth feel of my 1st Lambic, quite different. reminded me of a high quality wine cooler. When I said that out loud he said try pouring that Chocolate Indulgence with it 50/50. He said it makes a wonderful Blacxk and Tan! I can’t say enough good things about this expierence. wow!“

“Ok, its a mgrocery store that has in excess of 60 varieties of craft beers. This list goes from St. Bernardus, to Celebrators, to Bell’s, Thirsty Dog, Chimay, Seirra Nevada’s, Founders, Great Lakes, Troeg and many more and all the styles you could hope for in a small town of 37,000. The staff is average knowledgeable, but you can have a 1 1/2 oz sample for .25 cents on the featured beer or wine on Saturdays between noon and 2 pm. Another plus is that they will order in any beer tyhat is available to them but isn’t currently in stock.... lots of possibilities in my future.“

“Our first visit was this past weekend. Great selection of beer. I love that you can mix and match any beer. It’s a great way to try new beer without being stuck with beer you don’t like. We also partook of the beer tasting. Great deal with a good selection. Can’t wait till there are more taps. Staff was very knowledgable. This is a great place for a newbie to be introduced to the diverse world of beer.“

“First beer tasting for me just this week! I must say I was impressed, not only with the featured selection samples (4 "shots" for only $1!), but with the service, knowledge of the host - Matty T - and the friendliness of the other more experienced and knowledgeable tasters! Vino Bellissimo will quickly become a gem here in li’l ol’ Lima, Ohio! If you haven’t been ... you’re missing out!“

“By far the best place to get specialty beer in Lima. While some grocery stores may have a few beers Vino doesn’t, Vino’s selection is much more broad with both craft and imports. The beer guy really knows his stuff, and they’ll order beers for you. There are 4 taps now, which is a nice touch. It’s also the only place in town to buy individual bottles. The only place in Lima you should go for specialty beer.“

“By far the best place to buy beer in Lima. The selection keeps getting better. Comparable to the Andersons before they closed. There Selection includes many beers from Bells ( cases of Hopslam), Flying Dog, Dogfish Head, Great Divide, Great Lakes, Victory, Troegs, Stone, Rogue, Stoudts, Dark horse, Thirsty Dog, Left Hand, North Coast, Anchor, Sierra Nevada, 21st Amendment, Founders..... Many more. They keep up with some seasonal and special releases too. Have decent selection of bombers and singles. Also have an area with some imports in the beer cooler isle. Great place to buy craft beer in the area. What I picked up last visit Singles: Dogfish Head - Palo Santa Maron, Bells - Third Coast Old Ale, Bells Expidition Stout, Flying Dog - Horn Dog, Smutty Nose - Big IPA, Founders - Reds Rye.... 6pk Bells - Hopslam & 4 pk Founders - Double Trouble “

“Nice selection, limited singles selection. NO HELP! I stood there for 15 minutes and never once did anybody come help me. I had 20 beers to choose from, and of those 20, there was some red stripe, some GL and some that they are trying to get rid of. Just not a great experience. There are other places to get better service and better value around town.“

“Some odd ball choices - not a lot of selection, but they had some good ones. Goose Island bombers, some excellent imports. Strangely enough not much Great Lakes. Worth a stop.“
