“Small brewery just off downtown. Seems to be plenty of parking. Bar area, Big room with tables, and a patio area over looking a really cool river. 20 beers on tap and plenty of locals to help you with your selection. One busy bartender and they have pizza here. Looks good. Shirts and beers for sale. Seems like a dive bar but, I love this place. Cheers!“

“Although very close to I80...Berwick is definitely a rural kinda out of the way place. I’ve been within a few miles of this town many times over the past many years (went to college in central PA)...but never knew about it or had reason to stop in. I took a special trip there this past weekend after reading about the Berwick Brewing Co. on RateBeer I arrived at a very interesting place with a number of spaces and rooms...a bar...backroom...German beer hall type of area with the long communal tables and the white Christmas type of lights strung above...and an outdoor beer garden...with a number of drinking spaces too (wedding going on there when I was visiting) looking down on the rail line and the Susquehanna River. This place is about the beer of course (20+ varieties!), the food for sure, but also a local camaraderie..neighborhood meeting space. I was very fortunate to have the brewer sitting next to me at the bar...so I got all the beer (and food) recommendations I could want. I had a couple of flights and tried all the hoppy beers as well as a few others the brewer recommended. I found the beers to be good to above average...I can’t say any were exceptional...but unless you are extremely picky...I can almost guarantee with the size of their offering you’ll find a few you like. Although their is a nice variety of food...you need to try the pizza...they have many different styles of thin crust...including some with no tomato sauce at all...something I don’t usually order...but again...on the brewer’s recommendation...I ordered a pie with hot sauce and cheese curds and a thinly slice German sausage...and it was great! I would say...if in the area...this is a must stop...for beer "and" food...I’m not sure I can recommend a destination visit if you are more than 1-1 1/2 hours away. Either way...great people running this place and working here!“

“The town itself looks like it’s seen better days, but don’t let that put you off. Set back from the road in a big brick building, you walk in to find a jam packed bar. Order there and consume there or take your beers to a table - lots of picnic tables, Oktoberfest style. Amazingly, they had about 20 beers on offer, and even more amazingly, every one that I tried was very tasty. They have also fired up their kitchen, and were dishing out cheese curds, pizza, schnitzel - and, yes - schnitzel pizza. Extremely friendly locals and staff, made a stranger feel right at home. One guy was from 30 miles away but considers this to be his local. Fantastic place.“

“Large, expansive place, part German beer hall, part dive bar. A little tricky to find at night as it’s behind another building. Plenty of parking. It seems cramped but I found a spot no problem despite the place being packed. Despite the business, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. At least 21 beers on tap at my visit, and six beer flights are available. 3 bottles were available for $5 a piece. Reasonable prices. Beers were overwhelmingly well balanced and excellent. Pizza and other foodstuffs but I didn’t try. Great place.“

“Old refurbished building, smallish size bar with a larr open room with tables. Plenty of parking. 16 drafts of average beers, mostly English style IPAs, a a handful of lagers. Growlers, limited bottle sales, merch“

“Took the back way home so I could stop by and fill a growler. Its an old brick factory that absolutely oozes character. You walk in and are immediately at the bar and offered a drink. Had eighteen beers on tap and some bottles. Offered drafts and fill any growler. Sell their own branded glassware and growlers...all priced right. Didn’t try the food so I cannot comment. Will be back.“

“I fell in love with the off-the-beaten path brewpub. Very beaten down pub with an exceptional nice and large patio in the back. As far a decoration is concerned, this semi-industrial semi-old--shack building is barebones. They call the large patio the “Beer Garden” and you forget you are in a city with a view on the river. One of my favorite brewpub patio ever. This place really is a local dive bar, people there were either blue collars, country boys or stoners. And everybody was just so damn friendly I felt like buying a bunch of country music CDs when I left the pub. We had four pints in the Beer Garden and they ranged from good to very good. Didn’t try the food. Beer was also quite cheap. Extra-friendly service. If you don’t mind something that is pretty much the opposite of a trendy pub, you need to stop a Berwick Brewing during summer and enjoy the Beer Garden.“

“This is a really nice stop in central PA. We arrived about 15 minutes prior to closing, but had no trouble getting our drinks. The owner was at the bar enjoying one himself - they had 12 house beers on. After the other patrons had packed up and headed home, and the server looked closed, the owner took us on a behind the scenes tour, showing us his recently acquired German bottling equipment. Keep an eye on these guys, as I expect big things to come, for what my opinion is worth.“

“Stopped in here with Deuane and petesuphi a few months ago. Quite the interesting place this is. This was my first trip to berwick, let alone the brewery. The atmosphere was very laid back. Plenty of seating around the bar and even more in the back room thanks to all the german style picnic tables. Bar is a bit small but it suits their needs just fine. Walls are coated in old beer memorabilia which adds to the theme of a beer garden very well. The giant sliding door behind the bar gives you a glimpse into the real workings of the brewery. The service was great. They were all very friendly and answered any questions we had. Even got to meet the one and only "guy" while we were there which was awesome. We never had to wait for our beers but we were the only people there for some time. The beer selection was awesome. They had plenty of different styles on when we were there. I wanted to try the IPA but I ended up opting for a bourbon barrel aged imp. stout and a soul fire. Both were excellent and tasted great. I am still amazed that such quality beers can come from such an unassuming brewery. All the more reason to drink local in my book. Food was really, really, good. We tried three of the pizza’s, the margherita, the steve-o inferno, and the curd & jager. If I had to choose one I would say I liked the curd & jager the best but they were all so good you really can’t go wrong. Prices were very good. All the pizza’s were under ten bucks and the beers were very reasonable priced as well. Overall, this is a truly hidden jem that I will definitely return to in the future.“

“Typical Central PA warehouse BMC emporium. Cases stacked far and wide off as much BMC as you could sneak into your local college kegger. The craft stuff they do have is hidden on the left side of the store. You only need to go here if Berwick Brewing is closed.“

“This place is significant if only because they are the only convenience store in PA that sells beer. (otherwise you have to go to a distributor or a bar.) most of what they sell is bmc stuff but they also have some craft and Belgian stuff. ( 5 different kinds of Lindemans lambic for example.) they advertise themselves as a deli but they had very little food available and no functioning deli area. The prices veered from reasonable for PA to outrageously overpriced.“

“What a find! There’s no sign from the main road.(Update: There is now a big white sign from the road.)It’s located in a warehouse behind a used car lot. The inside looks like what is. A warehouse converted into a brewery which only adds to the charm of the place. The walls are also decorated with German beeranalia which tells me lagers are what they value. There’s also a dining area similarly decorated. I didn’t war anything but to echo an earlier review the pizza looked delicious. They sell growlers to go and they also serve half sizes of their beer. They do a lot with wheat beers, apparently the kohlsch is the go to beer, but I really loved the IPA. It was flavorful without clubbing you over the head. Will definitely stop by again.“

“Small bar within a warehouse building with a good selection of in house beers on draft. Friendly bartender. The beers I tried were all very solid including the "bigger" beers. I did not eat here, but the pizza they serve looked very good.“

“Guy is just starting up. He opened this winter. He’s taking it very slowly. He’s been brewing for 20 some years. His place is all about beer and conversation. He is humble and entertainly fun and enjoyable. Hours are 1-9 Sat. and 1-6 Sun. He hopes to open Fridays in May. He will expand and start a menu in the future. He has four on tap using a 2 barrel system and rotates thru 8 or so recipes. I very much enjoy his pilsner. He has a good pale ale and a very good lager. I am not a stout drinker. I would rate it good, but it may be great to a stout drinker. He serves only hot dogs and has free pretzels. The atmosphere is plain jane and very clean. He’s enjoying himself and is happy with where he is at as far as growth/expansion. If you are from out of town, it is worth a 30 minute or more drive if you need to kill an hour and are thirsty. I live 20 minutes away and seem to be thirsty most weekends. We go to an early dinner elswhere and stop by for a few after. Sometimes I stop on Sunday for a couple. People from Bloomsburg and surrounding area, if you haven’t stopped in you are missing out. Finally a brewpub close to home!“
