“We came here the first time on 3.11.2018 after a round of Golf with Ben and his friends. This is a club, hence you have to enter with a member. This club was founded 1880 to promote German singing, culture and beer. Large outside area for events like Oktoberfest and an annual Christmas market. A maypole with the German, Austrian and USA colors on the top is a purpose statement why this club exists. Great beer selection: 20 beers on tap, a few local microbrews and the majority of the beers are from German and Austrian breweries. We had a Schneider Weisse and a Duchesse de Bourgogne from tap and shared a bottle of Schlenkerla Eiche Urbock and Hofstettner Granitbock from the year 2010. As a regular beer they have Stiegl Maerzen on tap! The food was quite good. Had a Wiener Schnitzel with potatoes and cucumber salad. Interior is a bit corny but not too bad. We will watch the changing beer menu and will come back for sure.“

“Reviewed from notes. Since my parents live in Lebanon, whenever I make the trip to PA, there’s always beers involved and sometimes we end up here at this pretty clean, not too loud, or not crowded brewpub. Their beers are nothing to honestly go bonkers about, but they’re solid. If anything, their food is way better which can be take out if you want and you can call them to save time.“

“The place sits way back in the Renaissance faire grounds, it’s a little walk from the parking lot to get down there. The bar area is a converted porch that is covered and heated and was comfortable even on a cold evening, there is also an interior dining room. I was there on a Friday evening and it was empty, so the wait staff was not busy but attended to us quickly. I did not order any food, they beers are all ok, mostly brewed to style. I was not very impressed but I would go back, it would be a great place for a quiet dinner, it is not a noisy pub or bar atmosphere.“

“I’ll give it another try if I ever go back. This first visit was terrible. Most of the beers were not available and the service was quite rude“

“The brewpub is inside the renaissance faire grounds with plenty of places around the different festivities to fill up. You can get beer in a plastic cup or pay for a ceramic mug, das boot or a pint glass. 22oz bottles are available at the entrance buildings which was cool. Your at the faire so the ambiance is awesome nothing like walking around with a big turkey leg and a beer watching a joust, live music, human chess match, etc. while being called me lord. It’s like 5-6 bucks a pint so its about average and the beers (they had 5 different kinds on tap) are average and do the job. All an all you can’t go wrong in my humble opinion.“

“Had 6 beers on, on the grounds of the faire, it is a small but good looking patio type space. Didn’t eat here, but the beers are all top notch stuff.“

“At the PA Rennaisance Fair. This place is in a pastoral setting. The service was prompt, but they only have 4 beers. What they do have is very good. Worth visiting if you attend the Fair. The pizza up the hill was delicious, and the Old Peg Leg Stout was world class.“
