“Big place, tons of parking, right next door to Miner. Geared toward the tourist crowd, but much more effectively and in a nicer atmosphere than Sick n Twisted. Just one mead and no ciders when I stopped by. Nice patio with umbrella tables. Combine this with beers at Miner.“

“Large touristy place, but don't take the "City" name literally. Huge parking lot, cavernous interior. Designed for the quick turnover tourist crowd, and mostly for wine drinkers. Handful of bottled beers, too pricey to tempt me. Staff are mostly students, not a lot of experience there. Easily skipped.“

“The best brewery in this not-so-lonely stretch of highway in SD. Solid beers, a very large brewhouse, and a really large porch. Visited with Jess during our trip to SD in 2021.“

“This was a strange brewery/winery. Trended more to the winery crowd, in fact the clientele was a pretty huge turn off. Service was difficult and the beer wasn't great. Wouldn't return.“

“Stopped in immediately post covid so social distancing inplay. Great location on a beautiful day in the black hills, had four beers all at least good. Best was hazy ipa, really enjoyed a good beer in a beautiful setting.“

“A bit outside of town, right on the main highway. Nice front porch, medium sized bar inside and three rooms of tables. Brewhouse visible through glass. A dozen beers on offer, but the flights include six that they choose for just eight bucks, although you can add more tasters on the flight for a couple of bucks each. Beers were decent, one of two sours was tasty the other was too acetic for me. A dry hopped perry was a nice surprise but was very sweet. Nice that they do crowlers. Food included sandwhiches and charcuterie. Worth a stop.“

“Big, open, upscale building. They offer free wine tastings, and any ciders and meads they have are included in that. When I was there, they had two meads, but no ciders. The servers were quick and friendly, and very willing to answer questions. In addition to the wine, they have two taps from Miner Brewing, next door, and you can bring beer over from next door, or take wine over there. Cool place, and nice patio area.“

“Cool building, next door to the gigantic Prairie Berry building. Dark, rough wood decor, and simple features. The service was pretty awful. A single bartender was handling all the walk-up orders, and the person in front of me ordered three crowlers, which apparently take an epic amount of time. A pretty good spread of beers, but sadly, the flights are pre-set, and don’t include the more interesting ones. $8 flight of six, which is a pretty good price, and the pints are $5-6. Best of all, they have an open campus with the winery next door, which means that you can buy a glass of wine and drink it at the brewery, or buy a pint at the brewery and drink it at the winery. Very chill place to hang out, reasonably good beer, good live music, and wine for my wife. Overall, a good place, especially for the area.“

“On the way from Crazy Horse to Rapid City we accidentally found this place. It seems to be a bit more winery than brewery but they have decent amount of beers to offer. I liked the decor. We had pizza which was pretty okay but way overpriced. The beers I had were quite OK. They had 14 beers on tap and a flight of 6 available. Wifi was working. They had most of their beers available in cans. Unfortunately our visit ended with an unpleasant surprise when paying the food and the beers. The single cans are $5 each (and I bought 10 of them).“

“Fairly new building right nest to the Prairie Berry winery. All wood interior with a friendly staff. I only had one beer since almost every other offering was some sort of fruit beer. Once they got busy, the service dried up. I may stop back if I’m in the area again.“

“Shared microbrewery and winery. Both the beer and wine were below average in my opinion. There are two areas to sit with the one for the brewery being very plain wooded seats. The area in front of the winery was a little more comfortable. Staff does not come to your table. You have to go to the bar to get served. The only food was pizza which we didn’t order. All in all, I was very disappointed with the beer and selection.“

“Up the mountain you’ll find Miner Brewing Company. It’s built next to the winery that owns it and made up to look like a general store. Decent space inside with about five or six tables in the main bar space. My wife and I split a flight which had six of their offerings. None of the beers were out of this world but they were all eminently drinkable and good. The two employees that were working or friendly enough and quick with our beers.they do some pin pies as well as other food they get from the winery next door. They have outdoor seating with corn hole as well. A real nice brewpub in the Hill city area. I come back next time I’m in the area.“

“Wine and beer tasting room combined. I had a taster and liked all of the beers. Unfortunately they only had a small selection of the beers bottled. And those 22 oz bottles were priced 13 dollars a piece. I left with a feeling I walked into a tourist trap close to Mt Rushmore after all.“

“The brewery is located inside a building that is both a winery and a microbrewery, although they frankly do more to promote the winery, which is called "Naked". They had six of their own beers on tap and you can get a 3 oz. sample of each beer for $1 each. In addition, they have another 8-10 guest beers on tap plus some bottles. The place seems a bit disorganized and the service a bit as well. Not the cleanest building I’ve been in either. Still, if you’re in the area stop by and pick up a few South Dakota ratings.“

“I stopped in for a visit while spending some time here in the Black Hills. The building is beautiful with lots of wood and ample bar space inside. They have a wide variety of wines to choose from, but only one mead and no ciders on the menu. My "Selection" rating is based on items applicable to this website, which would be one. I did enjoy the raspberry honeywine however, and if you’re driving by its worth stopping by for that. The tastings are free and you can taste up to 5 wines.“
