“The owners have masterfully re-made an historic main street location in this once-little town in the Beaumont/Port Arthur area. The little tavern is modern and inviting yet completely befitting of the local area. Bonus points for having some of my favorite Americana music playing not too loudly in the background! I visited on Mother's Day and they had a quality brunch buffet going with omelette and waffle stations (I didn't imbibe, but it all looked great). They had 11 of their own beers on tap, plus another 15 guest taps, a mix of local/regionals and other high-quality options, AND a handful of semi-unique offerings in bottles. They know their beers. The service was great, the 4 house beers I tried were all good-to-very-good. All this was enough to wish this place was closer at hand. My only gripe was the place was overrun with chaotic kids (where are your parents!?), including one running amok behind the bar for a little bit. Brewery #831.“
