68 /100 TINDERED, E 22 A rest stop by a beautiful lake, with a Restaurant + Store in one building and, 30 seconds walk away, a café, offering other amenities as well - if you're going from Stockholm to Öland, Kalmar, Karlskrona etc. - a fantastic place to stop. They are the outlet of the local brewery, which is in the nearby hamlet apparently 8 minutes walk away and not on-site, so I didn't put this down as a brewpub. Sadly, they only had one bottle each of their pale lager and IPA - the dark could only be seen in the shop's display case. Hopefully these weren't the last two bottles and the brewery continues brewing - they did show signs of age, and, funnily enough, we found one in the restaurant and the other in the café. Good, friendly service, beautiful surroundings, solid food as well - pizzas in 149-169 range, sourdough so chewy, but nice enough, my daily menu (grilled falukorv with typical toppings) was nice (and so was the, apparently, Arvid Nordquist, coffee they had) I thiiiink for 119-129, something along those lines. There are other beers available, including some Ängöl and Nääs stuff, but they didn't seem to have a huge beer rotation, which is a shame if so. Still, again, pop in if you're in the vicinity, if the rare ticks are missing, at least the setting is nice. |
