66 /100 154 WINERY LN. While this is mostly a winery, they have carved out some dedicated brewery and taproom space. Yes, it looks and feels like a winery, lots of windows, but the taproom space is heavy picnic-style tables and high tables. Seating is also available in the rolling lawn. Right off the highway, so easy in and out. Beers are much better than I expected. 4 taps at the moment, so the flight was an easy decision. |
22 /100 154 WINERY LN. Great location... on 29, to/fro Northern Virginia. Inside, the winery is straight ahead and the brewery to the left. Large indoor space, well done. Here's the problem: they opened recently and apparently didn't brew enough. They have one of their own beers left on tap and have replaced the others with very safe options (Stella, South Street Satan's Pony, etc). A 5 oz pour (was less than 5 oz for sure) of the stout was $4. Neither lady working at the bar had any idea when new beer would be ready. They were nice, but really unhelpful. I'll stop back next time I'm driving by, but for the immediate future, this is not worth a stop. I'll update this rating in the future. |
