80 /100 FJONEVEGEN 2178
“This was my main goal of my long day trip. I started early in the morning and about four and a half hours later I arrived at Fjonebrygg. The only option is by car, this is a remote area! A yellow sign "Verdens navle kafe & Pub på Fjone" points out the road the last stretch up a gravel road. There is an own parking for visitors near the big, brown wooden building. Inside there is a microbrewery and combined cafe/bar/bottle shop. The couple who runs this place are normally here in the weekends, but they live in Vennesla. See website, facebook or call ahead to be sure they are open. It is a long detour to meet a closed door! The brewer is Belgian and his Norwegian wife runs the cafe and bottle shop. Very friendly and talkative service. Six different bottles available to go at my visit. Also three of their stronger beers in the fridge for drinking in house. I just had to enjoy a bottle! The 33 cl bottle "Belgisk Dubbel" was 72 kroner which is cheap in Norway. Bottles to go between 40 and 46 kroner. But, why do not the labels have information about ABV? The cafe is rather small but in summertime they can open up to a large patio in front. Interior is simple, wooden home made style but cozy. My bottles to go were handed over in two orange carrying net with brewery logo, all bottles wrapped in plastic and a free Fjonebrygg bottle opener. Super service! Just a tip: Fjonebrygg offers special deals for groups of cyclist. After some hours on the bike seat, food and beer are waiting. Not for me, but maybe others? (Visited October 10th 2020)“
