54 /100 2845-7 KITA-HOTAKA, HOTAKA Revisited this place after a long long long time. Came here for breakfast ironically. Great breakfast and they now seem to roast their own coffee and bake their own bread. Atmosphere hasn’t changed a bit since I lived in this area around 00-02, but certainly they are doing a better to offer more variety of things, but those things doesn’t mean more beer. They still only have a very mediocre Alt and a half decent Kolsch and that is it. They are even selling imported and other domestic bottle beers (WTF just not make more styles?) so people can have more variety. Totally not worth it as a destination, but if you are in the area. Stop over not just for the beer, but for food, the sights, picking up coffee and this will be much more enjoyable. |
40 /100 2845-7 KITA-HOTAKA, HOTAKA Almost scary in its remoteness if you come by train. About 1 every hour. 5-10 minute walk from the station. 2 beers were pretty solid on tap, though they have been terrible every time I had them in a bottle. Alt-kolsch combination is un-thrilling. It’s a steak house, and the beef curry was nice enough though nothing is cheap. If you’re around here, there’s probably no where else to go... |
