“Pleasantly surprised by this. Dragged the wife and kiddo here for lunch on a Tuesday. Food was very tasty (very good fries), location was beautiful by a lake, men's bathroom had a changing table and everything was nice and spacious. As for why we're all here (the beer!), I was nervous that like 75% of their taps (all their own) were IPAs but each one was a bit different and they were well-crafted and a bunch of things you won't see anywhere else. Also had a boozy kolsch (really, a boozy, barrel aged kolsch) and a very tasty regular-way porter. Nothing mindblowing but everything good. Nice gift-shop at the front with merch and beer (I picked up a good-looking tulip glass, but they also have most any other kinds of clothing and, again, beer). So it's worth a stop and would repeat.“

“Right off the highway, so super conveniently located, with an awesome patio area overlooking a nicer man-made lake and huge amount of space inside. Typical brewpub decor, aside from the brewhouse and cellar being right inside the door as you enter. Service was good, friendly and responsive, even on a Friday night. Selection was good, impressive variety you don't see from them out in the market, and all were solid. Definitely worth a stop if you're anywhere near it, they've been killing it for a while.“

“I'm staying here for business, and this was a true gem to uncover. Small, friendly vibe, local. Taps reflect the region, and a nice variety of styles. Bottles expand this a bit, not a dog to be found in the bunch. Spent time in the taproom, and bought a few to take home. Surprising how uncrowded it was.“

“Big and roomy, easy to get to, plenty of parking. Lots of taps (20?), no guests. Menu is pretty varied,a nd food was OK. Flights didn't seem to be an option, but small pours were an option. A number of their taps were stellar, didn't have time or capacity to go deep into the tap list. Worth a revisit.“

“Stopped in while here for work. Small selection of bombers, mostly six packs, no singles. Did not look at the sixers as I only wanted one of each. Mostly the same as found at Safeway. Nothing special, but higher end groceries available too.“

“HUGE place just east of 101. Ample seating indoor and out, and the lake mentioned in the name is right off the torch-lit patio (my favorite part of the place). Being so big it has more of a corporate feel, but the food was pretty dang tasty and the beer list was big enough to have several winners on it. 20-30 taps? Big menu? Friggin lake? I'll take it!“

“We drove from San Francisco without a turn-by-turn navigation, our plan was to buy one at Walmart here in Rohnert Park. I knew there was a bottle shop nearby and I actually spotted it from highway 101. Beer goes before Garmin! This was for sure an interesting place. Local craft beers both on tap and bombers in the fridges. Pretty good bottle selection, but no beers from Russian River. Mostly bombers and hardly any 12oz singles. (As always...) The small bar in the rear was impressive. Ambience? Well, it’s quite simple setup and more like a tasting area than hanging out in a local bar. On the other hand, the tap list was awesome. Lots of interesting, local breweries represented. But I didn’t drink any beer, I just purchased some bottles. Service was fine and it was well worth stopping here. (Visited June 30th 2016)“

“Visited 03/02/16. Located by te main highway into Santa Rosa about a 10-15 minute drive south. In a modern block of uniform looking buildings Beer Craft is a bottle shop come taproom. Really solid choices on both tap and in the 3 or 4 bottle fridges. The likes of SARA and Almanac were present on tap during our visit. Nice bottle selection too ... a new Fifty Fifty Eclipse for me, Ballast Point rareties, and others of note. Service fine but one of those annoying rules where you can only drink behind the line near the bar, and not browse the bottle fridges with your beer ! Prices a little high - saw some of the same offerings for 15/20% less elsewhere on this visit to CA. Overall its definitely worth the stop.“

“I’ve heard about this place for awhile now (thanks to JoeT), but never actually stopped in. I guess I was a little surprised at the location, but whatever...it works fine.

The entrance leads you into the storefront portion of the business with all the bottles. In the rear is the tasting area/bar with a couple handfuls of draft offerings that are quite solid.

The beer here is excellent. Great bottle selection, great draft list, and really friendly, knowledgeable people. It’s not necessarily a great place to hang out in, but there has been some serious thought and effort put into the beers.“

“A rather nifty bottle shop cum taproom. The selection of both the bottles and the keg taps was excellent, with a particularly strong showing - not surprisingly - of California breweries. I really had to restrain myself from buying more bottles than I did, because the range is really quite awesome. Although, prices were a touch high, so it’s probably for the best that I didn’t have any more suitcase space. The ambiance is fairly sterile, but I wouldn’t expect anything special of this kind of setup. The beers are neatly laid out, and many/most are refrigerated. Friendly and helpful staff. Overall, this is a great spot to pick up some bottles and have a draft beer as well. Highly recommended.“

“Small store / tap room with a pretty well curated selection. There’s probably only 100-150 bottles available, but most things were pretty interesting. The tap list in the back bar was pretty great. I had choice pours from the likes of SARA, Almanac etc. The staff seemed pretty knowledgeable. The only draw back was that prices seemed a higher than comparable stores in the area. Overall, this place is certainly worth checking out. Recommended.“

“Storefront bottle shop-bar in a strip mall of 101 in Rohnert Park. We hit it between Petaluma and Santa Rosa. Good tap list, but you can’t carry pints around the shop; there’s a dividing line between the small bar area and the bottle area that can’t be crossed. Probably a stupid state law. The bottle shop doesn’t have a ton of bottles but a well-curated selection. Good prices on the taps; the bottles run a little higher, but not high for the area. Seems like a place you’d have to be a regular at to get the most out of - judging based on the limited floor selection, attentive staff, constantly rotating tap list, etc. But it’s worth a visit if you’re in the area, even as a traveler.“

“In a bit of a weird industrial area, out of town but very close to the 101. Very nicely nerdy place though. Solid bottle selection to go, even if some of them were a bit pricy. Nice draft selection with a couple of SARA brews on (which I didn’t see in Santa Rosa otherwise). Small pours and pints available at a fair price. Charming little place. Friendly.“

“Out of town and in a strip, this is not pretty or convenient. It does however reek of beer geekdom. Beer selection is pretty good and taps are better. I was hoping from the hype this would be the mecca of craft in the area, but was a little let down. They do small pours and have limited seating.“

“This place rocks.Nuff’ said. A great local bottle shop with an awesome taproom that mixes local hard to finds on tap(Cellarmaker, Altamont, etc) with rare beers and unique selections(Saint Adarius, Belching Beaver) Always feel welcome and recognized, awesome evolving bottle selection that never leaves you disappointed. Everytime I come to Sonoma, this is stop #1. Well done boys.“

“I love Beercraft! I hit this spot constantly and for a number of reasons, not to mention its located halfway between my house and my work. 1) Amazing selection of bottles/cans for sale - hard to find and limited supply stuff too 2) Service! If you go here once they’ll know you by name almost every time after. Its so personal I love it 3) Taproom in the back - wa whattttt, yup thats right its a beer store and a taproom 4) You can try a 5oz pour if you dont want to commit to a full pint or goblet for around $3. Yeah Ill spend $9 on 15oz of beer but I get to try 3 instead of 1 5) These dudes take trips just to find us the crazy stuff that you cant get anywhere unless you go to the brewery yourself 6) Almost always have something from Cellarmaker, Sante Adarius, Altamont and Redwood Curtain on tap 7) Vast selection of IPA’s, BA Stouts, and Sours that is unmatched“

“Place has a relaxed friendly vibe. Tap list consisting of 14 beers is excellent and the prices are very good. I imagine most people would find beers they have not yet tried on the tap list. Up to date tap list is on their website. I paid $6 for a full pour of Cuvee de Tomme and $7 for a full pour of The Abyss. Bartender filled all of my pours to the brim which I do appreciate. Half pours are also available for all beers. Store also has quite a few interesting bottles.“

“Definitely the best beer shop north of the golden gate. Clean. Good stuff. Hard to finds. One of the only places to get Cellarmaker and Adairius. Pleasant and informative staff. JT busts his butt to make the beer geeks experience top notch. It’s not a big place but the selection rocks. Prices on pours are often just $3 for a good taster.“

“Great little beer shop. Glad I stopped and well worth recommending. Selection was really good with bottles I had missed out on in Portland. Service was fantastic, I later found out he was the owner. Good beer recommendations for bottles to go and other stops to check out on our visit down into SF.“

“Nice bottle shop right off the 101. Pretty small space, but they have almost all the bottles in cold storage which is a huge plus. Great selection too. I saw several SoCal brews that I haven’t seen anywhere else in these parts, even in the best Bay Area stores. The owner was there and pretty much left me alone until I started chatting him up. He seemed like a really nice, chill dude. He makes several trips down south and brings beers back for the store. I guess this is legal, otherwise he probably wouldn’t have told me... Anyway, this was definitely worth the stop on the way back from Santa Rosa. Lots of great bottles from hard to find breweries. It looks like they have a back room used for tastings. It would probably be a cool place if you’re local.“

“Great bottle shop. Good selection, especially of the smaller local breweries in the area. The owner is very friendly and knowledgable. He's more than happy to give his recommendations. The prices are a little higher than some of the other places in town but not by much, plus they have a 50% off deal everyday. Highly recommend stopping in.“

“We saw this place from 101 on the way to Russian River and decided to stop in on the way back. Glad we did - a new bottle shop that has been open for about two months. The owner (JT Fenn) was very knowledgable and happy to talk about beer and his shop. He is still getting distribution agreements set up, but what he has is quite interesting, and I am sure it will get better with time. Definitely worth the stop if you find yourself in the area. Update a year later, and its still doing well. They seem to be able to get things that the other NoCal shops don’t get; this time is was a Cherry Chipotle Porter and a Beachwood Still Life. Cool!“
