“I love Mission Trail Ciders. They are by far the best in flavor aroma and unique creative flavors. During a trip to Paso Robles, I made the special 1/2 hour journey of the town to visit the Cidery, which is in the middle of nowhere rolling grass hills, on the side of the freeway. Google maps says they open at 11AM, but a sign on the door said 12, so I waited with my car parked in the shade a lonely tree. At noon Monte showed up, and offered a tasting of 6 ciders, but also opened a few others for a total of 9, but maybe 15-20 flavors available in the store. With many barrel aged, large bottle, and high abv options, some prices are high, while the cans are less expensive. All of the ciders were utterly fantastic.“

“I have been here a few times now and I really enjoy it. Just wish it wasn't so far away...though maybe that's a good thing for my wallet. Kind of in the middle of nowhere on CA-46/41 that takes you between I-5 and US-101 (dumps you off in Paso Robles on the western side). Plentiful parking for the small restaurant and the Mission-Trail tasting room. The James Dean monument is like...right next to the tasting room/restaurant, so you get a two for one. I think they have about a dozen drafts going at a time. You can do full pours of anything they have on draft as well as get growlers, but I usually do a flight which is 6 pours of anything they have on (though meads count as two pours). Part of the reason I love this place is they make really interesting and cool ciders, fruit wines, meads, and blends thereof. They also collaborate with breweries to provide juice, fruit, lees, etc. so you can often find an interesting beer or two here. The people are really friendly and knowledgeable about the wines/ciders they make as well as beer. Highly recommend coming here if you can.“
