56 /100 Victoria Inn (Bar) HIGH STREET Midway along the road with houses and holiday lets that runs parallel to the beach, which basically is the small coastal village of Borth, the pub in an attractive older terrace building backs onto the beach and has a beer garden here, although as I visited in March 2018 so I stayed in the front road facing room where the bar exists. Although not quite a traditional decor it's more than comfortable and appealing in a carpeted room. The ale selection was minimal but a new local cask option was available for me here. I overheard the owners talking about money problems so the pub may have changed in more way than one since my visit. |
40 /100 Victoria Inn (Bar) HIGH STREET The best thing about the Vic is the location, with a garden that backs right onto the beach. Apparently the owners are looking to sell the place, so quality is dropping. There is not really a craft offering here, apart from potentially getting Punk IPA and 5AM Saint in bottles - but that's to be expected in a small coastal Welsh town I should think. |
