58 /100 Wynnstay Arms Hotel (Bar) MAENGWYN STREET, MACHYNLLETH Right by the rocket shaped town clock at the road junction in the town centre, the building is looking a little worn on the outside, but the interior is impressive enough. It's a hotel so you'll pass reception first, which also has a wine shop attached to it which occupies one of the front facing rooms in the building. It's ground floor areas are mainly set-up for low-lit dining and its actual bar area is tiny, with just one large table to sit at in its inside gated room. There's two ale pumps, both sporting brews from the Cwrw Cader microbrewery on my visit. Another room further inside the pub is also a very nice looking dining room adding further capacity to that which you walked through to get to the bar. Prices are very reasonable for a hotel. |
70 /100 Wynnstay Arms Hotel (Bar) MAENGWYN STREET, MACHYNLLETH Interesting and comfortable interior - minimal side of bohemian. Friendly staff. Local produce menu. Well kept beer from local breweries. |
