“Small town brewery in industrial zoning. Similar decor with a few outdoor tables in a fence off part of the parking lot. Great wings!“

“Another great stop in Duncan. Located in an industrial sector, this place kept its garage origin, with plenty of car paraphanelia. Very good service, with lots of explanations, a few free tastes. Small food menu of snacks and pizza. Flight of 4 for 7$, all fairly solid offerings.“

“Beautiful spot between Victoria and Nanaimo. Stopped there for a flight and lunch. Modern building but inside is all red brick, 10 tables, big patio. Beers were quite nice actually, flight of 3 for 6$. Menu is pizza, burgers and other pub fare Had the Macn cheese which was quite good. A good stop...“

“2019-08-20. Cool building is apparently a replica of original Harley shop and used to be a motorcycle shop according to the bartender. Samples only in the bar area, “picnic” license outside means you can buy bottles and take them outside which is an interesting BC licensing quirk. Friendly staff. Beers are mostly just okay takes in the inoffensive and accessible range so kind of disappointing overall. Interesting spot. 8 taps today.“

“2019-08-20. Small spot in commercial / industrial plaza, bar seats and a few tables, and some car seat style loveseats at the back. Garage doors open at front and back. A few picnic tables outside. Looks like seating upstairs too but we didn’t explore. Engine / car theme to the decor. Friendly servers. 8 taps. We tried four and enjoyed them - Apparently more so than previous raters! - Beers generally exceeded my expectations. Worth a visit.“

“2019-08-20. Nice space, fairly large with a rooftop patio that we didn’t notice until we left. Oops! There is a smaller shady patio downstairs. Large tasty crab cakes. 5 house beers on tap, four core offerings and a seasonal. The flight came with a glass of pretzels in the sixth slot! Worth a visit but the beer didn't really impress today.“

“A standard brewpub in the quaint non-depressing part of Duncan. Service was okay, food was decent and beers were average. Okay stop for a meal but I wouldn't go out of my way to try the beers.“

“A surprisingly good selection of craft beers and ciders in the middle of Duncan. Rare craft beers from the mainland and the island. Okay value and definitely worth checking to see if they have anything you haven't seen before.“

“A nice little purpose built brick building that really stands out nicely. A small tasting room, considering the size of the building, but a huge outdoor space for events and food trucks. Flights and tasters available at a good price, just not that many to choose from and quality isn't that great.“

“Just a few steps from Red Arrow, this is a quaint little taproom. 9 beers on tap, with flights of 4 available for $8+. Beer quality is quite poor, with everything heavily underattenuated and therefore too sweet. Server was nice. Another poor Duncan brewery.“

“Quite a nice red brick building off the highway with an inviting interior. About 9 beers of their own on tap, service was quick and friendly. Flights of 3 available. A good place to hang out if a little out of the way of downtown Duncan.“

“Typical brewery tasting room in an industrial area off the highway. Beers are okay, service was reasonably fast. They get some live music once in awhile. There are a few other options in Duncan, I don't think this would be your first stop.“

“This place is just down the road from the Red Arrow Brewery. Much the same as most other Vancouver Island brewery taps. I had a flight of 4 beers with the oatmeal stout being the best and the IPA disappointing. Their own beers on tap and some from other breweries in bottles.Service was good.“

“Typical Vancouver Island brewery tap of the sort now found in every town. Had a flight of 4 beers with the Sweet Leaf IPA being the best. Service was very friendly and helpful.“

“Located right in the heart of Duncan. It can be difficult to find a parking spot out front. They had 5 beers on tap when I went, and you can order them all in a flight for the pretty hefty price of ~$13 (including tax) - wasn’t impressed with that. The beer itself is mostly pretty weak, with some off-notes in many of the beers. Service is super friendly, however. And the place itself is nicely set-up. Can’t recommend it due to the beer, but you can’t get their beer too many other places, especially not in Vancouver, so if you something new, it’s worth a shot.“

“Located right off the highway just outside of central Duncan. Nicely set-up tasting room with 8 house beers on tap. Free to sample anything and the service is very nice. Unfortunately, the beer quality is really weak. I’ve had some infection issues with some of their beers in bottles, so let’s hope they get their shit together. Not really worth a stop unless you’re looking to tick all their beers for cheap.“

“Nice to see Chris Gress leading his own venture - though he’s a partner with Craig Street in this new brewery. A very nice building and a good new addition to the Duncan area. The staff person was helpful and had a good knowledge of the styles available; also had the pre-requisite beard to work the taps. People in the tasting room were having a good time. I really like the ambience and location - but the Kolsch and NW Pale Ale need work but the Sweet Leaf IPA is spot on and will only get better.“

“Nice space in a great little commercial area. Service was really good and if you are staying locally they have a van for drop offs and pickups. Selection of beer is limited to what they brew, which is decent. Food is OK. Value is great, very well priced. Overall I think it is a nice place to visit, the brewer is a great guy who came out and chatted. Very passionate and approachable.“

“Craft beer here is just average. Lacks flavour and served much too cold. The porter was lifeless and drab. No head and bland. I complained and the brewmeister actually came down to talk to me and asked my advice, strange but true. They were very courteous though and offered me and my buddy free pints and tasters.“

“Good to find a brewpub in a small town, nevertheless the choice is limited and not exactly exciting; the beers are served too cold. As usual, too many waitresses around, and they don’t even seem to care for deserving the "tip"..“

“Visited December 22nd, 2006. Gorgeous location, great atmosphere - nice use of space and creation of distinct sections with a family restaurant area near the fireplace, a small sports bar and a separate eating area of gossipers on the second landing. Full exposure of the brewing equipment, modern interior with exposed cedar beams everywhere. Five beers on tap and attractive servers. My Beef Dip ($11) was very good though somewhat small (7") however the "Porter au jus" was unbelievably delicious. I could have drank it as a stew. Only real complaint is the beers are served WAY TOO COLD - around 4 degrees Celsius which means spending 20 minutes waiting for them to get to a temperature where flavour comes out.“

“Craig Street Brewpub is a delightfully classy pub and a great addition to the beer world of Vancouver Island. The bar came from a 1906 Montreal hotel. The owners also bought all the original paneling from the same hotel and it has been used throughout the establishment. Reproductions of many of E.J. Hughes’ paintings hang throughout the building giving the pub a strong West Coast feeling. Brewer Chris Gress was a Victoria home brewer who trained with Sean Hoyne. Sean, the brewer at Canoe in Victoria. Try the Craig Street Toolbox for $10.00. This is a sample of each beer, and it came with a glass of peanuts. Incidentally, customers are welcome to get beer at the self-serve bar. There is seating, including the rooftop patio, for 220. “
