“This place serves as the tasting room for West Ave ciders, the production area is in a non-descript warehouse in an industrial section of Hamilton. Large place, lots of parking, and about 2/3 of the indoor space is devoted to a shop - not just ciders, perry and ice ciders in bottles and cans, but also cheeses, eggs, jams and tons of other farm-suitable stuff. At the other end of the building is a serving bar with a dozen or so stools, and there are picnic tables in a huge grassy outdoor space that overlooks the apple orchards. At the opposite end of the outdoor space there are farm animals that visitors' kids were playing with, no obviously a kid-friendly place (with non-alcoholic apple & cherry juice for them), and dog-friendly. Four ciders on draught plus half a dozen bottles, including a perry and an ice cider. Flights of any three except the ice cider for ten bucks, and the ice cider was CAD5 for a 2 ounce pour. Staff were extremely knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Food is a very tasty cheese board and sausage rolls. Great place to visit, in good or bad weather.“
