92 /100 VIA NICOLINI 1
“Probably the greatest beer spot in Lombardia, maybe one of the real best in northern Italy. The selection of beers is really astonishing, last time I went there there were 510 (yes!!) selction of beer bottles, just every belgian you can imagine, british, germans, and obviously lots of Italians. Food as panini and the home-made cakes are great. Price is ok, and the ambiance it’s very easy and typical brianzolo/trattoria (northern Italy palces typical brownish tiles). It’s located in small village in the middle between Milano Como and Lecco. I REPEAT IT, The beers selection it’s just epic, really, I don’t know any other place with such a selction. HIGHLY reccomended“

“this is the best place for beers, at least in north of Italy (I’d say in the whole Italy). Huge selection (on the little black board the available beers are everyday displayed: rarely less than 300). Lttle and hidden places, very nice and quite atmosphere. Very competent and passionate landlord, who look for and porpose always new and excellent beers from all over the world. Very careful service.“

“This was one of the historical places for me, one that marked the beginning of my beer history. It’s quite unbelievable to find, hidden in a village, one of the best pubs in Italy, and with one of the best selections. The place has been created in 1985 after a previous grocery store (’drogheria’), and it looks like an Italian trattoria, the name indeed is the dialect name for ’grocery store worker’. I started going to the Fundeghé in the first half of the 90’s, I can say that nothing has changed, just the beers, as there is a similar number but the selection is different and I had the impression last time (summer ’07) that there is more attention to beer now, and even some American micro (along with the usual selection of Belgians, Germans, some French, English...). You will get all the beer info that you need from the owner. I didn’t eat last time, but I remember how good were the ’panini’ and other delicacies.“
