58 /100 Key Largo (Bar) VIA RINALDI NO 17 Pretty much Italian plonk beer but the reason to come is to sit on the tiny balcony above the Piazza del Campo on a sunny day. |
60 /100 La Birreria (Bar) PIAZZA DEL CAMPO Piazza in Siena. Selection not great, but they had some decent beers. The atmosphere and the beer were goid together |
72 /100 Bar Pasticceria Nannini (Restaurant) VIA BANCHI DI SPORA This is the place to get some great panforte. |
68 /100 VIA DELLA STUFASECCA, 1 Medium-sized restaurant in the ancient town of Siena with modern and simple interior. Went there for lunch on a Monday after the Palio. I tried the lunch menu which wasn't that great to be honest, probably my worst food experience on my whole trip through Tuscany. The pasta looked like out of the can, the crisps weren't spiced at all and the turkey wasn't very appealing as well. I was of course more interested in the beer, and I didn't get disappointed. Of the seven taps only one was by La Diana, the rest was either Italian micro or German standard stuff. A tasting of three pours of 0.2 l is available for € 8.50. Bottles of most of their beers can be taken home as well, they were cooled in the fridge. Service was very decent, the staff didn't hesitate in offering samples, English skills vary a lot among the staff. Definitely worth checking out when in town as there are not that many other options around. |
52 /100 Pam (Grocery Store) PIAZZALE ROSSELLI, 21 Ordinary grocery store within a shopping mall. Has a shelf with some special beers, lots of those are Belgian standards, some Italian micros are there as well, also a few German and American beers (Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas). Nothing really interesting but I guess that getting decent beer in Siena is not that easy. |
70 /100 VIA DELLA STUFASECCA, 1 Large bar-restaurant in the heart of Siena. They serve their own brews plus some other from local, italian or foreign breweries. It gets very crowded and the atmosphere is rather loud and not very cozy. Food selection is limited to burgers and salads, nothing new in the hood... Service is ok. They have a selection of bottled beers as well. |
76 /100 Key Largo (Bar) VIA RINALDI NO 17 Just off the Campo. Not a broad selection but have Pretty and Luo policy on tap
Belgians in bottles. Cozy friendly and good beer where it is hard to find |
24 /100 La Birreria (Bar) PIAZZA DEL CAMPO Place at the main plaza in the city.
Not interesting selection of beer.
Good food.
Horrible staff. |
86 /100 VIA DELLA STUFASECCA, 1 A place in the old Siena.
Modern designe. A lot of space inside.
Freindly staff.
Many bottles and beer memories to buy. |
62 /100 La Birreria (Bar) PIAZZA DEL CAMPO Decent selection of Italian beer (Baladin), the foreign beer selection is rather limited to lagers, Guinness and off-the-shelve Belgians. Not cheap, but at the heart of touristic Siena that’s hardly surprising. Pleasant place to have a beer and enjoy the tourist bustle at the market square. |
74 /100 La Birreria (Bar) PIAZZA DEL CAMPO Many international beers and just 1 Italian craft beer and that’s a shame. The 2 Baladin beers I tried were really good. I hope they’ll expand their Italian craft beer selection. You pay €6 for a 25cl bottle and €15/16 for a 75cl.
Food (took a pizza) is nice and not expensive. |
74 /100 La Birreria (Bar) PIAZZA DEL CAMPO The only place in Siena that i found some decent beers. You can drink beers from Germany, Belgium and Holland. Unfortunatelly none from Italian micro. The location is great. Only for that is a must go. |
84 /100 La Birreria (Bar) PIAZZA DEL CAMPO Nice range of international beers, served properly in the right glass. Excellent location on the sunny side of the Campo. Great food and they serve little ’tapas’ at bar for when you are enjoying your beer. |
