“Located in a modern dining precinct about 1.5km from the railway station, this is a large, modern venue and is an American saloon styled place. It's really a restaurant with lots of tables, a few stools at the bar, and a few high tables with stools, and is popular with local families and groups. There is a small brewing outfit in the front but it doesn't seem to be functional. On the night of my visit there were three taps pouring two core and a special, all their brews (and all of average quality) and prices were craft beer standard - €3.50 for small, €5.50 for medium, €11 for 1 litre, and €20-22 for 2 litres. Apart from complimentry roasted peanuts, the shells of which guests randomly scatter about on the floor, food is American-styled chicken and beef based (burgers, ribs, club sandwiches, etc) and was value for money. Service was attentive enough given the crowd but lacked any real beer knowledge. Non beer includes wine and cocktails.“

“This English-style (interior) pub is located in Marghera borough, it is about 20 minutes walk from Mestre train station. Pretty, quiet neighborough as is the pub. British pub vibe with friendly service. At the time of visit 12 taps were on plus one cask pump (UK real ale). Some main brands (Newcastle, Urquell) + Italian micros available, also one Lithuanian micro. Music was like from my playlist (David Bowie, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure, The Who ...). I liked this place.“

“This is a kind of taproom for Pedavena brewery. I didn't add it as "brewery/taproom" as RB shows it as a brewery although it is a taproom. Location is next to BeFED Mestre. Pedavena is quite big brewery, a part of Castello group, which brews pale lagers with many brand names. Taproom/restaurant seems to be brandnew and shiny. At bar you can have drinks without eating. Good service, beers are clean but a bit uninspiring from Castello's lineup. They also have a good sized shop attached.“

“Interesting red tile interior. You can drink at bar without ordering food. Now only two own beers available, they were not particulary good. For quick ticks.“

Birraria La Corte (Restaurant)

“Visited 11.08.21. A fancy restaurant with indoor seating and fine outdoor seating on a large open square. Four beers from Del Doge on tap and thirteen in bottles. Exceptionally slow service despite numerous waiters hanging around. It took over twenty minutes from I arrived and until I had been dedicated a table, managed to make my order and had received my beer. I had the Vienna lager, which was good. I did not try the food and will not come back to do so.“

“Bit dislocated, about 10-15 min walk from the Mestre train station and way more from Mestre center. Medium sized place with the sort of lounge in the back and regular tables in front. Wooden interior, quite dark. They had 10 taps on, also one hand pump which was empty during my visit. Italian micros on tap including their anniversary imperial stout and three local ciders. Good quality of beer. Two fridges, one in total dark and the other was half full. I'd say around 60-70 bottles in total. Prices for some bottles seemed bit crazy, but I wasn't that surprised. Good service. Two obnoxiously drunk guests during my visit. Not a destination beer place, but worth checking out if nearby.“

Da Michele (Restaurant)
VIA CAPPUCCINA, 177
“This is a pizza place, not a beer destination. Modern interior with lots of light, I'd just change obnoxious modern music. They do have 3 Riegele beers on tap and one or two in bottle. Except those it's only Moretti. Riegele is solid, good pairing with pizza. It's conveniently located if you're changing trains in Mestre or if you're staying at one of the hotels near the station. No more than 5 min walk to the station. Food is very good. Tasty pizzas and even better lasagna. Very kind and professional service.“

“Medium sized bar/restaurant just behind the Mestre tower. 6 beers on tap, 2 Geman, 2 Belgian (Lupulus) and two Italian micros. 3 Dell' Eremo beers in bottles/cans. Struck me more like a regular bistro than a destination place for beer afficionados.“

“Classic English pub tucked away in residential area, about 10-15 min walk from the train station. Cozy wooden interior with the bar room and quite spacious dining area in the back. Seems to be popular with the locals. 14 taps with some usual suspects like Pilsner Urquell and Newcastle Brown Ale. At least 7 of draft beers were from small breweries. Mostly Italian, but they had Burning sky as well. Bottle selection seemed very limited. Club sandwich was very good. If you're staying near the Mestre train station this is a good choice.“

“Located outside touristic areas, but still on a canal where much is happening in the evening. The patio was packed, and drinking inside was not possible so we had a quick beer in front of the bar and got couple of beers for hotel. They had 4 beers on tap, all Italian. Several fridges inside with plenty of Italian and imported. Good prices for two cans we bought for the hotel. Certainly worth checking out when in Venice.“

“Located just by the canal in less touristic part of Venice. Medium sized with patio outside. It's nice to sit just by the canal and watch boats and people walk by. Ambiance could rise to highest score for that part. Interior is small I would imagine only several tables could fit in normal non-pandemic setup. 21 beer on tap - 9 were usual suspects from Belgian like Chimay and Lindemans, 1 Sambrook, 1 German pils. Rest of the beers were Italian from smaller breweries, some with very few ratings. Bottle selection is somewhat limited, but there were some local Italian beers like Evoqe. Kind service, but at times they seemed bit overwhelmed with everybody ordering at the bar. Worth checking out if you're in Venice.“

VIA BACCHIGLIONE, 17, MESTRE
“Bel posticino che richiama una clientela molto varia , dal vecchietto che si beve la sua ombreta al bevitore di birra di qualità.. le spine sono almeno una dozzina con un mix di birrifici semi industriali o poco interessanti ( Forst/Brewdog) a robine molto interessanti ( Brewfist, Menaresta , Hammer e franconia ) .. classici “ cicchetti “ ad accompagnare la bevuta ed il risotto il giovedì .. bel posto con una bella atmosfera“

“I visited here twice, once with Loz Wednesday 4th September 2019 and again the following day with other work colleagues. It is a great little bar, nestled by a canal (*no surprise there then!) and about a 8-10 minute walk from the Rialto bridge which I guess is as good a reference point as any, its on the northern side of the bridge but mostly off to the west, its about a kilometre and on a street called Fondamenta Diedo, amusingly the little square to the side of the pub where the pub has some seating has had it's sign mischievously tweaked to read Dildo Sq, or Platza and it is very convincing. We were outside on both occasions, once in that little square and then against a large barrel leaner looking out on the canal. It is so much more peaceful near here than back towards the centre. the bar is small but rammed with a long bank of taps, there really are quite a few, mostly Italian with a couple of well known Belgian offerings. There is a also a well stocked fridge on the left hand side of the bar, btw the bar is straight ahead as you enter and there are stools to it and a few seats in here. The prices are displayed on a chalkboard behind the bar. It is a busy little place but we never had to wait long and prices were very reasonable. There seemed to be a decent spread of beer styles, we liked this place and would definitely return. It appears to also be quite close to another highly rated place in the town, however we never got there.“

“Geile Kneipe!

Hin gehen!“

“Rerate at visit 12.08.21. Mostly the same as too years ago, except indifferent service. They probably have vert little rotariob on their four beers on tap - at least one of then was still the same as two years before. They still have an extensive bottle collection. Visited 15.07.19. A good location a bit away from the mein tourist routes and with outdoor seating by the canal. A very good selection of bottled beers, of which many are rarities by local and national micros. Friendly service. [4.0]“

“Some gormless confusion from me as I thought that these were two separate places and ended up in some very dubious alleyways! However, once settled I thought that this was a really great little bar. Several fridges of beers, with about half a dozen Italian micros and plenty of other international stuff. Loved it!“

“A short stop in the evening. Situated in cozy and fine looking "Ghetto" are - actually word ghetto was invented in Venice and, yup, they used it for isolated jewish area. Had no time to fully appreciate the place, but the impression are as following - quite good international and local selection, football match live on radio (no tv), everything squized in. Looked cozy and nice, got a gut feeling, that it's a some proper place. Unfortunetally, had no chance to come back. Maybe till the next time.“

“Very nice place with an amazing location just on an canal .. visited at the openings time so I was one of the first get in .. in my memories they got more than 15 taps but at least half were occupied from Chimay beers which is not too bad but make the selection a bit poor.. I had a fantastic Mukkellerina from Mukkeller and tried other local beers just in the average.. only craft beer place in Venice with a Tap selection..they do “ cicchetti “ .. high price but like everything in Venice“

“So as of February, 2017, this was the only place with decent beer in Venice proper. Everyone with the means and desire to travel should go to Venice once in their life, and if you like craft beer, this is about your only option unless you stay on the mainland. It's fine for what it is but wouldn't stand out in, say, Milan or Rome.“
